It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Hendrik Posthuma, lovingly known to so many as Oupa and Oom Henk, who passed away on 22 September 2026 at the age of 93.

Born on 12 November 1932, Oupa was an incredibly honest man, a true craftsman, mentor and pillar of strength whose influence reached far beyond his own family. He was deeply respected, greatly admired and loved by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

As the father of the late Deon and Robert, and Maureen, Oupa leaves behind a remarkable legacy that remains deeply woven into the Coastal Couriers story.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his daughter Maureen and grandchildren Coreen and JJ, and with the entire Coastal Couriers family who knew, loved and looked up to Oupa.

His dedication, skill, honesty and quiet determination will continue to remind us what it means to build with care and live with purpose.

Rest peacefully, Oupa. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
