𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗮 𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗮. 𝗜𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗱𝗼𝗰𝗸.

At NAMDOCK, policy becomes practice on our docks, inside our workshops and repair areas. It is there in the safety procedures followed before work starts, the skill behind each repair, the inspections that check the result and the care taken for the marine environment around us.

This 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆 , the theme “𝙁𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙋𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙋𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙚: 𝙋𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙀𝙭𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚” reflects the responsibility our teams carry every day. A standard on paper only makes a difference when someone puts it to work.

To every member of the NAMDOCK team: thank you for the skill, care and commitment you bring to every vessel. Your work is what turns maritime standards into practice.

Today, 18 September 2026, NAMDOCK honours Mr. Victory Haufiku as he concludes a long and meaningful career at the age of 63.

From EBH through to NAMDOCK, Mr. Haufiku devoted many years of service to the company as a Boilermaker in the Metalwork Department. His skill, commitment and contribution have formed part of NAMDOCK’s journey and will be remembered by the many colleagues who had the privilege of working alongside him.

To mark his final working day, colleagues and members of management gathered to reflect on his career and share their appreciation and well wishes. Tributes were delivered by his colleagues, Foreman, HOD of Production, NAMDOCK CEO and COO, and the Compensation & Benefits Officer from HR.

Mr. Haufiku, thank you for your many years of dedicated service and for the contribution you have made to the NAMDOCK family. As you begin this well-earned new chapter, we wish you good health, lasting happiness and a deeply fulfilling retirement.

Your last working day may mark the end of one chapter, but the memories, friendships and legacy you leave behind will remain with us for many years to come.

Freedom is more than a moment in our history. It is a legacy carried forward by every generation.

On Heroes Day, we honour the brave men and women whose courage, sacrifice and unwavering love for Namibia helped shape the nation we are privileged to call home.

Their legacy lives on in the everyday heroes who continue to build, serve and move our country forward.

At NAMDOCK, we see that spirit in our people. In the dockyard, in the office and in our community, our team shows up each day with dedication, skill and pride. They lead through Kindness. Transparency. Trust. Respect. Integrity. Fairness.

These are more than the values we share. They are how we honour the past, strengthen the present and help build a future worthy of those who came before us.

Today, we remember Namibia’s heroes. We celebrate our everyday heroes. And together, we carry their legacy forward with purpose and pride.

Happy Heroes Day, Namibia.
