This time a tall typical stag taken in a series of costal Mountains in one of our southern hunting areas!

Darren is a big guy, but this old heavy stag is a tank with a massive body & you’d never know it.

Got him!!
A two-year quest concluded with the pull of a finger.

My brother Alexei originally located the stag opening week of 2025. He then vanished and we didn’t see him the rest of the year.

About a month ago, our Guide Roy located him, but he remained a jungle Phantom and played hard to get.

And now finally, our Guide Ethan managed to seal the deal with our client Darren!

That’s up there with one of the more unique and special Rusa stags we’ve ever seen. 🤩

Some love it, and others may not, but unique stags like these certainly stand out amongst the hoards.

In this case, this Rusa damaged his main beam at a very specific time, when the antler was mostly formed, refusing & resulting in a funky twist.

Had he damaged it earlier, the antler would have rotted away. Had he damaged it later, the antler would have simply snapped off.

Congratulations to our huntress Lisa on a truly one-of-a-kind abnormal Javan Rusa stag!
