It wasn’t the best of passages, but certainly not the worst either. Arrived in New Caledonia just after sunset and had to sail through the reef entrance in the dark. Dropped anchor in the harbor 3 hours later. Yes, those numbers are correct. Big waves on our second day had us surfing at uncomfortable speeds. 😬. The crew did great, and are enjoying all that Noumea has to offer!

What a stunning day to depart Australia on our passage to New Caledonia. Dolphins passed us at the customs dock and black swans did a flyby as we departed the channel. Not a bad send off!

It has been a while since we posted anything, and for that we apologize. Since November we spent 45 days in the US, a week in Melbourne, a month in Tasmania, and two weeks in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Talk about a whirlwind!

We are now back on Curiosity, and starting the process to depart for New Caledonia in May. There are still spare parts to order, some provisioning to do, and immigration paperwork to complete.

Curiosity is running well. I think we have finally eliminated all the electrical gremlins (knock on wood), and all systems are finally functioning like they should.
