A TIMELESS TRIBUTE TO PLATEAU’S TRANSFORMATION

Plateau Express Services Group, under the leadership of our Group Managing Director/CEO, Hon. Samuel Jok Gwott, had the privilege of receiving a remarkable and symbolic artwork featuring the widely celebrated Tincity Metro.

The piece—created by Mark Rwang, a distinguished Nigerian painter from Jos renowned for capturing local culture, identity, and history through oil on canvas—beautifully reflects Plateau State’s evolution into a modern city. The artist draws inspiration from the themes of unity, education, and social progress, all propelled by the visionary leadership of the captain of The Time Is Now, His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang.

While receiving the painting, the GMD/CEO described it as “a bridge of peace building.” He emphasized that beyond economic impact, the Tincity Metro represents inclusivity at its core—a service open to all, touching the lives of the young, the elderly, and the most vulnerable in our society.

This artwork stands not just as a painting, but as a timeless reminder of what is possible when leadership, innovation, and community move in the same direction.

I am honoured to be recognised with the National Standard Award for Economic Empowerment at the Made in Plateau Business Carnival 2025, in my role as Group Managing Director/CEO of Plateau Express Services Group.

This award underscores the collective effort behind our work at Plateau Express—deploying innovative transport solutions, expanding mobility systems, creating jobs, and intentionally supporting MSMEs across Plateau State. PLATEAU EXPRESS SERVICES GROUP JOINS JUTH IN FLAGGING OFF THE JUCAST 2025 GAMES

Over the weekend, the Group Managing Director/CEO of Plateau Express Services Group (PESG), Hon. Samuel Jok Gwott, led members of the management team to the opening ceremony of the JUTH CMD’s Annual Sports Tournament (JUCAST) 2025, held at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH).

The delegation was accompanied by Pharm. Kim Jerry Bot, Director-General, Plateau State Drugs and Medical Commodities Management Agency (DMCMA), who also delivered a goodwill message at the ceremony.

In his address, Hon. Samuel Gwott reaffirmed Plateau Express’ commitment to promoting community development, health, and wellness through strategic partnerships and corporate social responsibility initiatives. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between the transport and health sectors in improving accessibility and public welfare across the state.

The Chief Medical Director of JUTH, Dr. Pokop Wushipba Bupwatda, in his closing remarks, expressed deep appreciation to Plateau Express Services Group for its immense support towards the JUCAST event and the recent launch of the new Tincity Metro route from Kugiya to JUTH, which now provides daily relief to staff, patients, and visitors of the hospital.

In a special gesture of goodwill, Pharm. Kim Jerry Bot donated free First Aid boxes to support the medical teams and athletes participating in this year’s tournament.

PLATEAU STATE GOVERNMENT RECOVERS ILLEGALLY OCCUPIED ASSET AT RIDERS PARK — A MAJOR MILESTONE FOR PLATEAU EXPRESS SERVICES GROUP

In a major milestone for Plateau Express Services Group (PESG), the Plateau State Government has taken decisive steps to recover and reclaim assets illegally occupied within the Riders Park premises in Jos.

This action marks a significant turning point in the ongoing efforts to restore, redevelop, and reposition the park as a modern, functional transport hub that reflects the renewed vision of the present administration.

Under the leadership of the captain of The Time is Now, His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, the Plateau State Government continues to demonstrate a commitment to translating intentions into visible action. From the successful Terminus and Kugiya clean-up exercises—which paved the way for the efficient operation of the Tincity Metro Bus Service—to this latest intervention, the administration has proven that progress is best achieved through accountability and structure.

Speaking on the development, the Group Managing Director/CEO of Plateau Express Services Group, Hon. Samuel Jok Gwott, described the recovery as a “new benchmark” for the organization’s infrastructure advancement and service optimization.

“The good people of Plateau State have long desired a modern, organized transport park. This recovery is a major step toward realizing that dream. We are confident that by 2026, Plateau Express will be on the right track to delivering a fully developed Riders Park that meets the highest standards of public transport and commuter satisfaction.”

PESG expresses deep appreciation to the Secretary to the Government of the State (SGS), Attorney General of Plateau State, the Ministry of Housing & Urban Development, the Jos Metropolitan Development Board (JMDB), and the Ministry of Transport for their collaboration and support in making this progress possible.
