A MAN WAS DUPED OF 5.4 MILLION NAIRA BY A SCRUPULOUS AGENT

Just yesterday as I was busy attending to my WhatsApp messages, I got a message from one of my contact who told me how a colleague of his was duped of 5.4 million Naira by a travel agent who also made away with his passport

According to my contact person, his colleague had sold all of his properties just to come up with the 5.4million Naira requested by the travel agent for his travel process for him and his family.
He also had bid his colleagues goodbye as he was already prepared to relocate out of the country with his family.

When the time came for him to travel, he called the travel agent but no response as the line wasn't going through. That was when he realised he has been scammed.

Now, I have always emphasized that the only difference between you and those travel agents is the information you both carry, and that's why it's easy for them to scam you.

The best way to avoid this is to get enough information that you need to relocate so you can go about your travel process yourself. YOU DON'T NEED TRAVEL AGENTS.
All you need is access to the right information and you can save yourself a fortune

Relocating can be very expensive, and trust me the one thing you don't need is to get scammed of your hard-earned money.

I can't just help but wonder where the man that was scammed would start after losing all those money to the scrupulous agent.

Don't find yourself in the same situation.

FOUR THINGS THAT CAN GET YOU DEPORTED OR JAILED

When you relocate to a new country, it is usual that you experience a different mode of operation compared to that of your country. In that regard you must learn to blend into the new system you find yourself in so as not to get on the bad side of the new country.

Doing things that are against the policies of the country you find yourself in can come with serious punishments such as jail time or deportation.

Below are four things that can get you deported or jailed when you relocate to a new country.

1. Committing a serious crime that has a maximum prison term of 10 years or more. e.g Murder and Kidnapping

2. Reckless driving that causes bodily harm or death to another person. For example, driving way above the speed limit in a suburban area and hitting a pedestrian.

3. International or human rights violations like war crimes or genocide or being a senior officer in a government that commits crimes against humanity.

4. An act against the government of the country like Espionage or terrorism.

Any of the aforementioned crimes can get you deported or jailed.

Be a reputable immigrant when you relocate, it comes in handy in your permanent residency application.

Over time, people wanting to travel out of their countries especially Africans have been in a situation where they are sceptical about which country to travel to or relocate to that won’t be so hard to get into and also get them what they need in terms of employment or study programs.

The best way to avoid being scammed is to get as much information as required before commencing your travel process. This way, you can accomplish the travel process yourself without the need for an agent.

If you plan on travelling or relocating abroad, you should know that there are different routes you can use to travel out.
The best and easiest route that has been known to favour most immigrants is the Study Route especially if you intend to become a permanent resident in your country of choice.
The study route for most countries like the UK, Canada, USA etc gives you 20hrs of work permits per week while you study, and you can apply for permanent residency after 8 to 12months of study in the country.
So if you are an undergraduate, a Diploma holder, or a University graduate and wish to relocate abroad to become a permanent resident, the study route is your best option.
