🌱 Growing for next season!

These Eucomis bulbs will be available again next season. Here’s a look at the young plants in the field, where they are carefully grown until they are ready to become the bulbs we deliver to our customers.

🌱 While at one end of the world we are planting, back home we’ve started harvesting.

Miracle is one of the first lily varieties to come out of the ground. These bulbs will now continue their journey and flower again for Easter 2027. 🌷

🌱 Meet our “tunneltje”.

Right next to our glasshouse, we have a simple tunnel greenhouse where we grow part of our assortment under more exposed conditions.

Why? Because many of our customers grow our bulbs this way, exposed to the elements rather than in a perfectly controlled greenhouse environment.

For us, it’s important to see how our varieties perform in real-world growing conditions. It’s where we can see what works, what doesn’t.

🇨🇱 Planting in Chile.

While our Dutch crop is coming out of the ground, the next crop at Valdivia Lilies is just going in. 🌱

After a few months of renovations, the wait is finally over! 🏗️✨

Over the past few months, we’ve been working on a major renovation at Zabo Plant. The goal was not only to accommodate the continued growth of our company, but also to create a much better place for our colleagues to have lunch, take a break and spend time together.

After spending quite some time in our temporary canteen, we’re very happy to finally reveal the result.

A completely renewed space that feels fresh, welcoming and, most importantly, like Zabo Plant. 🌱

We’re proud of the result and can’t wait to enjoy it together!

Normally, we race to get orders ready. Last Friday, we stopped a little early to race each other! 🏎️💨

This year’s team building day was a home game at Zabo: go-karting, b**r tasting, a quiz and, of course, a traditional and very successful Zabo BBQ. 🍻🔥

A great day with the team!

Our business is global. 🌍
Our team doesn’t have to be.

We’re looking for a new colleague to join our team here in the Netherlands!

The vacancy is in Dutch, because this time we’re looking for someone local. 🇳🇱

And even if this job isn’t for you, don’t hesitate to share it with someone who might be looking for a new challenge.

Last week, we took a walk through the fields to check on the crop. 🌱

The plants are looking healthy and strong, although they still have some growing to do. This field belongs to one of our top growers, Paul & Travis Broersen.

Always good to see how the crop is developing firsthand. More to come as the season progresses!

Behind every growing company are the people who helped build it. For Zabo, Arjen is undoubtedly one of those people.

Arjen hasn’t just watched the company grow into what it is today, he has been a big part of that success along the way.

Spending 35 years at one company is an impressive achievement, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything Arjen brings to Zabo every day: his positivity, expertise, dedication, and experience.

Thank you, Arjen, for 35 years of being such an important part of Zabo.
