History is being made this summer. From July 25th to August 8th, Amsterdam is hosting WorldPride 2026 under the powerful theme of UNITY!

Thinking of visiting the "Garden of Europe"? With over 7 million bulbs in bloom, Keukenhof is a must-see for anyone visiting Amsterdam this spring.

Here is everything you need to know to plan your perfect floral escape:

When to Go

Keukenhof is open from March 20th to May 11th, 2026.

Opening Hours: 08:00 – 19:30 daily.

Pro Tip: Arrive before 10:30 or after 16:00 to avoid the biggest crowds and get those perfect, "people-free" photos!

How to Get There from Amsterdam

Getting there is easy, but booking in advance is mandatory!

The Keukenhof Express (Bus 852): Departs directly from Europaplein (RAI). It’s the fastest way—about 35 minutes.

Via Schiphol: Take a train to Schiphol Airport, then hop on Bus 858.

Guided Tours: Many shops in Amsterdam's city center offer "Combi-tickets" (Bus + Entrance), which is the most stress-free option.

Don't Miss

The Windmill: Climb up for a stunning view of the surrounding tulip fields.

Whisper Boats: Take a silent boat trip through the flower canals just outside the park.

The Flower Parade: This year’s Bloemencorso happens on April 18th

Location: Stationsweg 166A, Lisse (approx. 40 mins from Amsterdam).
Tickets: Sold online only! They do not sell tickets at the gate, so book your time slot early at keukenhof.nl.

Cherry Blossom Season! 🌸

This is one of the most magical sights in the Netherlands, but it’s very short-lived (usually only 2 to 3 weeks). Don’t miss the last days!

Here’s your quick guide to visiting:

Where is it?

It’s located in the Kersenbloesempark, which is in the Amsterdamse Bos (Amsterdam Forest), a huge park just south of Amsterdam (technically in Amstelveen).

Opening Hours

The Kersenbloesempark is open daily from 06:00 to 18:00.

Please Note: Picnics and lingering are NOT allowed in the Kersenbloesempark on weekdays or busy weekends to protect the delicate trees and manage crowds. It's a "walk-through" experience this year.

How to Get There from Amsterdam

The best way is a mix of public transport and walking or biking!

By Metro/Tram: Take Metro 51 or Tram 5 from Amsterdam (e.g., from Zuid or Rokin) to Station Onderuit or Station Ouderkerkerlaan in Amstelveen. From there, it’s about a 20-30 minute walk or a quick 10-minute bike ride to the park entrance.

By Bus: Bus 174 or 199 from Schiphol Airport can take you to stops closer to the park.

By Bike (Our Favorite!): Rent a bike in Amsterdam and ride there! It’s a beautiful 30-40 minute journey from the city center, mostly through green paths. It’s the true Dutch experience! 🚲

Pro Tips

Go EARLY! The park gets extremely busy, especially on sunny weekends. Arrive before 9 AM to have the best chance for quiet photos.

Stay on the Paths: Please respect the delicate nature of the trees and flowers.
