🚢 𝕍𝕆𝕊 𝕊𝕖𝕖𝕜𝕖𝕣 𝕙𝕠𝕤𝕥𝕤 𝕍𝕣𝕠𝕠𝕟 ℂ𝔼𝕆

Earlier this week, Vroon CEO 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗷𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗻 visited our Vroon Offshore Services (VOS) team in Aberdeen (UK). While there, he stepped on board 𝙑𝙊𝙎 𝙎𝙚𝙚𝙠𝙚𝙧 to meet the crew members during their port call. Accompanied by VOS Managing Director 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝗺 and Project Manager 𝗧𝘇𝘂-𝗬𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗲𝗸𝗼𝗼𝗶𝗷, Martijn received a warm welcome from VOS Seeker’s master 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹 𝗞𝗼𝗸𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗸 and his crew.

One of our Aberdeen-managed emergency response and rescue/field-support vessels, VOS Seeker joined the fleet as a newbuilding in March 2009. She is equipped to UK Oil & Gas standard Class B and can rescue up to 300 survivors. She can also carry out cargo and other value-added offshore services. The photo shows the group visiting VOS Seeker’s hospital, where her highly trained, professional crew are able to provide medical services to up to 300 survivors.

VOS Seeker has operated safely and successfully throughout her lifetime, recently completing 17 years without a single lost-time-incident (LTI). This excellent safety record is testament to the first-class teamwork and professional attitude on board and demonstrates the importance and effectiveness of the Vroon Safety Culture and Leaders in Safety Programme.

🎉 𝕄𝕚𝕣𝕥𝕖 𝕔𝕖𝕝𝕖𝕓𝕣𝕒𝕥𝕖𝕤 𝕒 𝕕𝕖𝕔𝕒𝕕𝕖 𝕨𝕚𝕥𝕙 𝕍𝕣𝕠𝕠𝕟

👏 𝗠𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗲 𝗩𝗿𝘂𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗸 celebrates her tenth anniversary with Vroon this month. Mirte joined the ICT Department in July 2016, at the time of the Company’s relocation from Breskens to Breda, starting her career as ICT Department Assistant. In that role, she supported a wide range of departmental activities, including SharePoint administration, planning of meetings, travel arrangements, budget administration, communication with other departments and planning of team events. She also assisted in several ICT initiatives, including the rollout of Skype for Business and activities related to Vroon's cloud migration and user adoption programs.

In 2022, Mirte transitioned to the role of ICT Business Applications Analyst. Since then, she has gradually expanded her knowledge of business processes and application support. Her initial focus included supporting the Crewing system in AX2012 and implementation of QA, ship certificates and HSE processes within FLEETimpact, working closely with our end-user community and business stakeholders.

During the past few years, Mirte has primarily been involved in supporting business applications and system transitions. She contributed to the transition from AX2012 to Dynamics 365, taking responsibility for CRM and procurement processes, particularly Axtension, while also supporting HRM-related processes in D365. More recently, she was involved in the migration of crewing operations to Hanseaticsoft’s Cloud Fleet Manager for both office users and vessels.

Over the course of ten years, Mirte has successfully adapted to changing responsibilities and developed from a department support role into a Business Applications Analyst position. Her experience, knowledge of Vroon's systems and familiarity with the business continue to support the day-to-day operation of several important applications.

Earlier today, Mirte was presented with a bouquet of flowers and celebratory cake by ICT Business Applications Manager 𝗡𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗿𝗮. We thank Mirte for her contributions over the past decade and congratulate her on reaching this milestone. 🙌

🌊 𝔸𝕓𝕖𝕣𝕕𝕖𝕖𝕟 𝔹𝕖𝕒𝕔𝕙 ℂ𝕝𝕖𝕒𝕟

Last week, our Aberdeen Healthy Working Lives team organised a local beach clean-up, as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting a cleaner, greener environment. 🌿

The group was joined by Vroon CEO 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗷𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗻, several young family members and Hector the collie. Together, they collected 20 bags of rubbish and recyclables, including bottles, paper, glass, tins and metal. ♻️

Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the initiative a success. By working together, we can all contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable local environment. 💚

Last week, high-heat tanker 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 arrived in Dordrecht (NL) with a cargo of bitumen from La Coruna in Spain. Since Dordrecht is the hometown of Vroon CEO 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗷𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗻, it was too good an opportunity to be missed! 😊

Accompanied by Project Manager 𝗧𝘇𝘂-𝗬𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗲𝗸𝗼𝗼𝗶𝗷, Martijn was warmly welcomed on board by 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝘁. 𝗕𝗼𝗴𝗱𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗮 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗼𝘀 and his crew.

After loading a new cargo of bitumen in Rotterdam, 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 is now on her way to a UK port for discharging.

🎉 𝕃𝕝𝕠𝕪𝕕 𝕋𝕦𝕓𝕒𝕝𝕝𝕒 𝕔𝕖𝕝𝕖𝕓𝕣𝕒𝕥𝕖𝕤 𝟚𝟝 𝕪𝕖𝕒𝕣𝕤 𝕨𝕚𝕥𝕙 𝕀𝕧𝕖𝕣 𝕊𝕙𝕚𝕡𝕤

👏 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗱 𝗧𝘂𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮 celebrates 25 years with the Company on 16 June. This milestone was recently celebrated on board his current vessel, 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝘆.

🚢 Lloyd has spent his entire career with the Iver Ships tanker fleet, joining us in June 2001 as Engine Cadet on board 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲. He subsequently worked his way up the ranks from Oiler on 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲, 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹 and 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 to the position of Third Engineer on 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 in 2017 and 2018. Since May 2019, Lloyd has served as Third Engineer with our high-heat tankers, including assignments on 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘁, 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 and now 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝘆.

⚓ In addition to his daily work, Lloyd has been busy preparing for his Management Level Course examination, which resulted in him recently acquiring the required licence for promotion to the rank of Second Engineer. He will join 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 to take up his first tour as Second Engineer.
