Desi Couple On The Go

08/10/2026

Both of us all dressed up and off to our own offices.

Later, while heading back home, we started talking about her day and all the little things she noticed ….how different the people are, how the work culture feels, how offices work here, even the small everyday things that I don’t really think about anymore.🙈

Day 1: Look who’s in town! Barkha is here! 🫶

And of course, it had to start with lots of hugs!

Then came the goodies she brought for us… half her suitcase was probably just for us!

And the first thing she does is drag us out for an early morning walk! 😂🙈

Just in time to catch the first foggy morning of the season. 🍁

And of course, no walk in the Netherlands is complete without a windmill along the way!

Saurabh behind the camera… and the windmill and flowers doing their best to pose!

And then came the sheep… because apparently, our walk is turning into a little nature safari!

And then we spotted some deer!

And finally, we have our very own photographer to click hundreds of couple pictures! Thanks, Barkha!

And that’s a wrap on Day 1! Follow along to see what the sisters get up to on Day 2!

📍 Etosha National Park, Namibia 🇳🇦

One of the most unique safari experiences we had in Africa.

Etosha feels very different from Tanzania. During the dry season, wildlife gathers around the park’s many waterholes, so sometimes instead of constantly searching for animals, you can simply wait… and let them come to you. 🐘🦒

The landscape is also completely different — dry, open and dominated by Etosha’s enormous salt pan.

🚙 Self-drive: Absolutely possible, and one of the best ways to explore the park.
🦁 Best wildlife viewing: May–October, when animals concentrate around the waterholes.
📍 Getting there: Roughly a full day’s drive from Windhoek, depending on which park gate you enter through.

And sometimes while waiting at a waterhole… you get an entire elephant love story for free. 😂
