⚓ Lady Anna in Appledore Port ⚓

Currently moored in the port of Appledore, Lady Anna is perfectly demonstrating her capability as a full NAABSA vessel (Not Always Afloat But Safely Aground).

As the first vessel in our fleet of 12 Sea River Line vessels, she continues to showcase the versatility, efficiency, and operational flexibility that make this vessel type so unique.

Proud to see her performing exactly as designed, even when safely resting on the ground at low tide.

Today, the Lady Irina was transferred to her new owners.
With her sale, we say goodbye to the oldest lady of our fleet.

Built in Delfzijl at the Niestern Sander shipyard and delivered to us in 1997, she has been a valued and constant presence in our fleet for nearly 30 years.

Together with her sister ships, Lady Inger and Lady Isabel, she completed countless voyages across the Norwegian Sea. During long-term charter commitments, they faced challenging winter conditions, battling heavy weather and severe icing time and time again. These strong ladies never moved an inch and truly thrived in these conditions.

Together with the Wijnne Barends crews, who have always taken great care of the Lady Irina and her sisters, we now definitively say goodbye to a recognizable and respected series.

We thank the Lady Irina for her years of dedicated service and wish her fair winds and following seas in her next chapter with her new owners.

Thank you for visiting us at the Open Day Eemshaven!

Taking part in the Open Day Eemshaven was a fantastic opportunity for Wijnne Barends to connect with the local community and introduce visitors to the world of logistics and port operations.

Throughout the day, our team enjoyed meeting families, students, and maritime enthusiasts, answering questions about our work, and showcasing the equipment and expertise that support our daily operations. It was inspiring to see so much curiosity and enthusiasm for the logistics and port industry.

A big thank you to everyone who visited our stand and helped create such a positive atmosphere. We are also grateful to the organisers and fellow participants for making this event a true celebration of the Eemshaven community.

We look back on a successful day and hope we inspired the next generation to discover the many opportunities our sector has to offer.
