Wijnne Barends

Wijnne Barends Welcome to the official page of Wijnne Barends. High cubic and multi purpose.

Wijnne Barends manages a young and well-maintained fleet which is tailored seamlessly to market requirements. Ideal for the transport of high-volume dry cargoes such as timber products, grain and peatmoss, but also heavier products such as steel and aluminium. Their relatively large holds make vessels suitable for many project cargoes, and most of them are able to load containers. And since the fl

eet in management comprises similar sister ships and series tonnage classes, we always have a ship in position to meet your requirements, quickly and efficiently.

The Lady M-Series in Action 💫

There is something truly rewarding about seeing a Conoship design in its natural element. The Lady Mathilde, member of the Lady M-Series from Wijnne Barends, is captured here navigating the dramatic exit of Pasajes, Spain.

The Lady M-series remains a core example of our "Innovation that Works" philosophy. These multi-purpose vessels were designed to be versatile, reliable, and efficient workhorses, and seeing them perform years later across the European coastlines confirms the strength of that architectural DNA ⚓🧡

Today, the Lady Christina was officially handed over to her new owners.
We wish them and their crew many safe voyages aboard our loyal Lady.

With the sale of the Lady Christina, we formally say goodbye to all four iconic Lady C‑series vessels — ships that have been part of the Wijnne Barends family for more than 25 years. Their unique design, spacious cargo hold, and characteristic (and at times challenging 😆) Bailey PSL crane have served us faithfully throughout the decades. We are confident they will continue to operate strongly and reliably for many years to come.

To all Wijnne Barends crew who have sailed on the Lady Carina, Lady Clarissa, Lady Claudia and Lady Christina: these vessels will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Finally, it feels fitting that the Lady Christina was transferred in Fécamp — after all, the Lady C‑vessels earned their own legacy as true “Fécamp Max” ships. 😉

Today was the first deployment of our brand new orange peel grab for handling rock material in Eemshaven.

This custom-built grab by Verstegen (14 m³) increases our capacity, enables faster and more efficient handling of rock installation vessels, and is a valuable addition to our existing equipment fleet.

Building on a track record in the handling of armour rock over a 10-year period, this represents another great step forward!
