82. ROCZNICA WYZWOLENIA BREDY I OOSTERHOUT – 24–25 PAŹDZIERNIKA 2026
„Myśmy oszczędzali miasta, nie robiliśmy szkód, myśmy się nie zachowywali jak Niemcy, czy inni barbarzyńcy. Tylko nasz żołnierz był od razu przyjacielem i na rękach noszonym wybawcą. Szybkość i zaskoczenie są tymi elementami, dzięki którym można o wiele więcej zdziałać niż wielką ilością bombardowań, użytej amunicji i nagromadzonego sprzętu”.
— Gen.
Podczas dwudniowych uroczystości w Bredzie i Oosterhout wspólnie uczcimy pamięć tych, którzy w 1944 roku przynieśli mieszkańcom wolność, nadzieję i pokój.
Szczegółowy program obchodów znajdziecie na plakacie.
W komentarzu zamieszczę również link do mojego filmu poświęconego wyzwoleniu Bredy w 1944 roku. Odwiedzimy w nim kluczowe miejsca działań 1. Polskiej Dywizji Pancernej: Gilze, Molenschot, Dorst, Bavel, Ginneken oraz samą Bredę. Prześledzimy trasy natarcia polskich żołnierzy, zobaczymy budynki, które przetrwały do dziś, i odtworzymy przebieg walk o miasto.
Pamiętamy o naszych bohaterach.
🇵🇱 Za wolność naszą i waszą! 🇳🇱
🇬🇧 82ND ANNIVERSARY OF THE LIBERATION OF BREDA AND OOSTERHOUT – OCTOBER 24–25, 2026
“We spared the cities, we did not cause destruction, we did not behave like the Germans or other barbarians. Our soldiers were immediately friends — liberators carried in people’s arms. Speed and surprise are the elements that allow one to achieve much more than with massive bombings, used am******on, and accumulated equipment.”
— General Stanisław Maczek
On October 24–25, 2026, we will once again gather in Breda 🇵🇱🇳🇱, often called the most Polish city in the Netherlands, to honour its Polish liberators.
This year marks the 82nd anniversary of the liberation of Breda by the soldiers of the 1st Polish Armoured Division under the command of General Stanisław Maczek.
During two days of commemorations in Breda and Oosterhout, we will pay tribute to those who brought freedom, hope and peace to the people of this region in 1944.
📜 You can find the full commemorative programme on the poster.
🎥 In the comments, I will also share a link to my film about the liberation of Breda in 1944. Together, we will explore the key locations of the Polish 1st Armoured Division's operations: Gilze, Molenschot, Dorst, Bavel, Ginneken and Breda itself. We will retrace the routes of the Polish advance, visit buildings that still stand today and reconstruct the course of the fighting for the city.
We remember and honour our heroes.
🇵🇱 For your freedom and ours! 🇳🇱
