What if your family holiday could combine a 5-star campsite, a 2,000m² waterpark, pine-forest surroundings and the Atlantic Ocean? That is precisely the proposition at Camping Sunêlia Le Tropicana in Saint-Jean-de-Monts.

Set among the pines on the Vendée coast, this stylish family resort is around 800 metres from Plage des Mouettes, with a pleasant pedestrian route towards the beach. And when the children announce that they have had quite enough of sand? No problem. The heated aquatic complex takes over, with indoor and outdoor pools, paddling areas, water games and slides.

There is plenty more beyond the splash factor. Think restaurant and bar, snack and takeaway service, spa with sauna and hammam, gym, multisports court, tennis, pétanque, children's playground, bike hire and seasonal entertainment. The summer Tropi'Club caters for ages 4–12, while teenagers have their own club and activities. That makes Le Tropicana particularly appealing to families with children from around 4 to 17, although couples and friends can enjoy the peaceful pine-forest setting too.
