Overlanding the real meaning

Overlanding is about exploration, rather than conquering obstacles. While the roads and trails we travel might be rough or technically challenging, they are the means to an end, not the goal itself. The goal is to see and learn about our world, whether on a weekend trip 100 miles from home or a 10,000-mile expedition across another continent. We treasure the great out

doors, but also all the cultures of the world. We do have a politic opinion, but have respect for Religion, Political direction and Cultural rules, as long as they are non discriminating in any form. But, for us, socializing, being together, helping eachother and travelling together is more important as politics, religion, etnical background, or gender. We respect all people and their way of life, as long as they accept that we, in their eyes and way of life are different as well. We respect the right of being in the Outdoors of everybody, and we hope they all respect our right as well. Living together on this planet, is a must, not a privilege. Sharing this planet is a must, lets treasure this.

Everybody should already know that the Dutch Overland Experience page on FB is were we post our trips and more.
Not because we arent Dragonriders Travel anymore but it is just telling of wat we do on our trips.

Iam not forgetting this page, it is just a bit more dorment.
Since a little bit more as a year we do have that wonderful campervan and with that we are travelling Europe and maybe northern Africa.

Since the start of this year we sold the Jeep and I bought a Quad. And for now that was a good desision. And for Milli Iam building a Doggy Van so she can join us on our trips in the near future.

So, with fun things to do, coming up and with the happiness that brings this we are enjoying our life as much as possible.

Tomorrow we are going to look for a quad.
That is very exciting as it will be my new toy instead of the Jeep. But due the fact that I hardly drove the Jeep anymore, the very expensive road tax for the Van and the Jeep, we had to say good bye.
A quad is so very cheap in road tax and insurance that this is the thing I can do without heavy payments every month.
It is more or less back to what we did when we started our journey going Overland.
Then the weapon of choice was a Buggy. We loved it. Skai loved it. So we both hope we will love the quad and that Milli will love it too.

An Era has finished, a new owner is taking the jeep with him for new adventures. And hopefully he will be as happy as I was/am with it.
A tear ( i just cried) when the Jeep drove of the driveway into the street with a happy new owner.
Now we gonna start another Era.
