As one of the world’s leading private label trade shows, 𝗣𝗟𝗠𝗔 brought together thousands of professionals from over 75 countries, all focused on innovation, partnerships and the future of private label food.

For 𝗗𝗟𝗚, these days were especially valuable to strengthen relationships, connect with new partners and discover the latest trends within the food private label market, a sector in which we proudly work with many great brands. 🌮

Yesterday, we visited to give students a look into the world of logistics at 𝗗𝗟𝗚.

Our Marketing and Communication Officer Cynthia Bakker, Operations Manager Europe Jeroen Roijers, and Marketing interns Luuk & Talisa hosted an interactive presentation about the complete supply chain behind products like ice cream, from production to supermarket delivery.🍦

We believe in investing in young talent and inspiring the next generation to discover the many opportunities within logistics. Thank you to and Student Counselor Mariska Rufi for the warm welcome. 🙌

𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗥𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝘁𝘀 🌹
At DLG, the crossdock centre in Maasdijk has been filled all week with flowers and plants for the Dutch Mother’s Day and honestly… moms deserve it! 🌸

They make sure everything keeps running smoothly, both at home and at work. From early mornings to busy schedules, they always find a way to keep everything together. 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘬𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘴 𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨. 🙌🏻

𝘍𝘶𝘯 𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘵: Last year, in the week leading up to Mother’s Day, over 154 million flowers were traded in the Netherlands alone, making flowers one of the most meaningful symbols of love and appreciation.

At 𝗗𝗟𝗚, we’re already getting ready!
Not only are the best spots in many streets already claimed for the flea market during 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴’𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆, our national holiday in the Netherlands, we’re also reserving space within our fleet for the next generation of e-trucks. 👏

Our third e-truck has just arrived. We now have two Mercedes-Benz eActros and one DAF XF 350 FT, and we can’t wait to welcome the next one. By 2026, we’ll have eight e-trucks on the road, 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀. ✅

Despite the festivities, we remain what you expect from us: available 24/7 and always ready to support our customers.

𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮: 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲 ☀️🚛
Sometimes, innovation isn’t best explained by dashboards or reports, but by the people who use it every day.

At 𝗗𝗟𝗚, one of those people is our dedicated driver Matthieu van der Ark. Day in, day out, he’s on the road, experiencing firsthand what new technology actually means in practice. And lately, that experience has been put to the test. ⤵️

Looking at the latest data, our 𝗗𝗟𝗚 solar refrigerated trailer has been running well above its usual intensity.
➜ On April 9–10, the unit completed back-to-back long-distance frozen runs of 911.6 km and 737.6 km. Wow!
➜ At the same time, April 9 recorded the highest solar energy capture of the year: 19.7 kWh.
And this wasn’t achieved under perfect sunny conditions, but on a typical Dutch day with temperatures around 13°C.
Real-world data, not from controlled conditions, but from the reality of daily logistics.

And if you ask Matthieu: “I don’t want anything else anymore.”
And that says it all. 💛

With the Mercedes-Benz eActros, we’re experiencing that electric driving is not only sustainable, but also reliable and practical within our logistics processes. It requires a different way of planning, thinking, and collaborating but it proves: it can be done.

𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗮 𝘄𝗿𝗮𝗽! 🌯
After a whirlwind two days at the IFE - International Food & Drink Event in London, we’re wrapping up and heading home.
A brief visit, but with big results, from making meaningful connections and having inspiring conversations, to literally having our eyes wide open in the amazing (and yummy) world of food and drinks. 😋

As the Brits would say… it’s been absolutely smashing!
