Late last week, we also said goodbye to our Mercedes Atego and trailer after 11 years of loyal service and 1,100,000 km; all trucks have now been renewed for Scania Euro 6.

We started Crossborder with our SP1 as a used vehicle in 2015; it is now 16 years old, has a second engine, and 1,122,870 km on the odometer.
We have been through a lot, laughed a lot, and had quite a few animals on board over all those years.

For the last 1.5 years, it has served as a backup and was no longer used weekly, and because some major repairs had to be done for the periodic inspection and a tachograph had to be installed, we said goodbye to our SP1 today with a sense of satisfaction after all these years.

It has been 60 years since the first lions arrived at Longleat, and this week Crossborder Animal Services took care that tradition continues with the recent arrival of two lionesses—two sisters 🦁🦁.

Recently, Crossborder arranged the transport of a male Nubian giraffe from Tierpark Berlin to Parc de Branféré in France.
Because our trailer is special equipped and has air suspension, we can lower it onto the chassis, reducing the floor height to just 12 cm, allowing the giraffe to walk in or out of the trailer without stress.

Thanks to Tierpark Berlin and Parc de Branféré for the pleasant cooperation.
