Today, on International Women in Maritime Day, we celebrate the women shaping the future of our industry. At sea and ashore. ⚓️

This short clip shows cadet Chiara one of her learning moments in the free-fall lifeboat on Coral Energy,. Learning is about practicing, asking questions, and gaining confidence together. As a cadet, every new experience matters. And behind every learning moment are the people willing to guide, support, teach, and encourage along the way.

Because maritime excellence is never achieved alone. We grow stronger by learning from each other and standing alongside one another.

To all women in maritime, and to the allies supporting them every day, thank you for helping move our industry forward. 🚢

What an incredible week in Bogor, Indonesia!

Together with around our Indonesian ratings, office colleagues and families, we came together for the Rating Conference 2026. A week filled with learning, teamwork, connection and celebration.

From workshops on wellbeing, safety, communication and personal development, to sports activities, team challenges and valuable conversations, the week showed the strength of bringing people together, both onboard and ashore.

One of the highlights was the special family gathering, where we celebrated the important role families play in supporting our seafarers throughout their time away from home. ❤️

We are proud of the engagement, energy and openness shown throughout the week. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this event such a success.

A special thanks to and .id for the great organisation and collaboration.

We were honoured to attend the graduation ceremony at Poltekpel Sumbar in Padang, Sumatra. A especially proud moment as two of our cadets, Nezwani and Elang, were recognised as Best Graduates. 🌟

During their sea period with Anthony Veder, Nezwani sailed onboard Coral Alicia and Coral Ivory, where she also experienced an extensive drydocking project. Elang completed his onboard training on Coral EnergICE and Coral Leaf, gaining valuable hands-on experience at sea.

Their achievements reflect dedication, perseverance, and the commitment they have shown throughout both their academic and onboard journeys.

We were also grateful to meet and congratulate their proud parents, and to experience the impressive graduation ceremony and warm hospitality at the academy.

Thank you Poltekpel Sumbar for welcoming us on this special occasion. It was a wonderful experience to celebrate this important milestone together and personally congratulate Nezwani and Elang on their achievements.

Day 2 of our Rating Conference in Bogor.

A full day of workshops and discussions on topics that matter everyday onboard. From wellbeing and safety to sustainable employability and the importance of speaking up and listening to each other.

During the AV Insight session we also talked through our strategic focus in an interactive way, with good questions and strong engagement from the group.

The day ended with a fun game night and sports activities including soccer and padel.

“Wow, this was really great fun.” ✨

That was the reaction we heard at the end of Girls’ Day this week, after welcoming a group of enthusiastic students from Zuider Gymnasium to our office.

Throughout the afternoon, they moved through the building in groups and took on five hands-on assignments: giving instructions via radio communication, choosing the right safety PPE, planning a voyage on a paper chart, booking a vessel in chartering, and fault finding with a thermal camera.

More than anything, it was amazing to see their curiosity and energy, and to show them that the maritime world offers so many exciting career paths, from operations and vessel management to engineering and reliability.

This is why we love taking part in Girls’ Day: helping young females discover new possibilities and challenging stereotypes about careers in our industry.

A big thank you to all colleagues who helped make this inspiring afternoon possible, and to all partners involved in organising Girls’ Day in the Port of Rotterdam.

From the engine room to the office. ⚓️💻

Meet Christopher, a Third Engineer who has been sailing with us since 2016. Recently, Chris decided to step out of his comfort zone and swap the machinery for a laptop during a shore assignment with our reliability team.

Working on a spare parts project, Chris got a firsthand look at how things operate on the office side. "I thought culture shock only happened onboard ships, but it also happened at the office," Chris says. "I realized that even though both worlds are different, we have the same goal, keeping the fleet sailing safely and efficiently."

It was an eye-opening experience for him, and one we were proud to support. At Anthony Veder, we believe that stepping outside your comfort zone is where growth happens.

Chris is now heading back to the sunny Philippines to enjoy some time off before heading back to sea. Thank you for your hard work and "tot de volgende keer," Chris! ☀️🌊

🎱 One table, zero waste, and a lot of team spirit! 🌊

Our March Photo of the Month winner, Apprentice Officer John Jasper, captured this incredible moment on the Coral Pearl.

We love this shot for two big reasons:

👑 Leading the Way: It’s all about leading by example. Here, Captain Jason takes the opening shot of a crew pool tournament, showing that building a strong team is a top priority.

♻️ Master Craftsmanship: Check out that table! Fitter John Matthew Silverio built it using scrap wood, recycled metals, and a fishing stick for a cue. Talk about sea-level resourcefulness!

Life at sea is busy, but our people always find a way to stay creative and connected. Huge shoutout to the Coral Pearl team for the inspiration! 🚢✨

Our colleague Steel from the Philippines is attending the Wärtsilä Dual Fuel training this week. It was an excellent opportunity to share a small gift: an Anthony Veder baby romper, to celebrate a much bigger milestone. In March, he became the proud father of a son.

Moments like these carry two sides. The joy of new life, and the reality of life at sea. For many seafarers, it means heading back to work not long after becoming a parent.

Steel, we wish you and your family all the best. Enjoy every moment with your son, even the small ones.

And to all partners and families at home. Your role matters more than we often say. You are the constant behind the journeys.

Welcome on board! 🌊✈️

Would you like some seasickness tablets? A hand-flare? No, sorry, no drinks until tomorrow.

That’s the greeting you might get when boarding a lifeboat with the crew of Coral Acropora! They are our latest Photo of the Month winners for this fantastic look inside their "flying (falling) orange peanut."

Lifeboat drills are mandatory, but this crew proves they don’t have to be boring. While the inside of a lifeboat isn't the most comfortable place to be, keeping spirits high is part of the job. The jury loved seeing the team turn a serious safety exercise into a moment of genuine connection and fun.

Congrats to the whole team! A raffle is being held to see which lucky crew member wins a portable JBL Bluetooth speaker. 🎶

Drop a "🧡" in the comments to celebrate the Coral Acropora crew!

During the docking of Coral Palmata and Coral Actinia, there was more going on than maintenance and inspections. With two vessels in dock at the same time the crews turned it into a moment of connection with a friendly cake baking competition.

Choosing a winner turned out to be impossible. so both crews took the prize.
Here, our vessel manager Sijtze hands over the award to Coral Palmata’s Cook Abdurrohman. A small gesture, but a well deserved one.

During dockings, the pressure on board is high and the cook plays a key role in keeping everyone going and the team spirit strong.
A good reminder that safety and performance are built by people. also in the galley.👏
