14TH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING IN CHARLESTON WAS A MAJOR SUCCESS More than 100 meeting participants and accompanying persons gathered in Charleston, South Carolina, from 8-10 May for Tandem Global Logistics Network’s 14th Annual General Meeting (AGM). The event was hosted by founding fathers and shareholders of our cooperative network, CH Powell Company dba Tandem Global Logistics USA at the Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina. This resort offered us a spectacular view with large container vessels entering and departing from the Charleston harbor, passing the Arthur Ravenel Jr. bridge and the USS Yorktown. The three key elements that stood out from our Executive Board’s annual report were the improved coverage that we managed to achieve, the progress we’ve been making with our Business Intelligence Platform and the newly formed Young Tandem Professionals panel and their suggestions that we implemented. New partners UEI Logistics Singapore, KGW Malaysia and KTSL Cambodia introduced themselves to the other Tandem partners. And via the break out sessions “Sales & Growth” in 7 groups which were chaired by a board member, we exchanged thoughts with with the more than 80 representaives from 45 countries accross 6 continents, about how we can be better prepared for the future and how we can increase our combined volume. The afternoon sessions were used for the traditional bilateral business development meetings. The AGM was concluded with a delicious gala dinner that Tandem USA had arranged for everyone and we announced that next year’s venue will be hosted by Tandem Morocco (WE Logistics) in Marrakech. This will be the first time that our AGM will be held on the African continent, an exciting milestone as Tandem Global Logistics moves forward through global collaboration!

Tandem Global Logistics Network gathers in Rome
From the 27th through the 29th of March, Tandem Global Logistics Network (TGLN) could finally hold its 13th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Rome, Italy, after two years of rescheduling as a result of the global pandemic. The meeting, which marked TGLN’s 15th anniversary, was hosted by Iscotrans S.p.A. and 60 delegates exclusively representing 32 countries were very happy to see each other again to strengthen their business relationships and to engage in business development meetings. One of the major themes was the rolling out of Tandem’s new Business Intelligence Platform, developed and hosted by Cargosoft from Germany. Mr. Steffen Bieniek was with us for a live demo and to advise partners on how to get connected. New Tandem representatives Centrimex Ivory Coast & Senegal, Tracosa Spain, NH Logistics Belarus & Ukraine, WE Logistics Morocco, CargoFly Czech Republic and Cavada Chile made their introduction. The AGM was concluded by a delicious gala dinner with live music entirely sponsored by Iscotrans S.p.A. at the Hostaria Antica Roma, on the ancient Roman road Via Appia Antica. The next AGM will be held from 7-9 May 2023 in Charleston, and hosted by CH Powell dba Tandem Global Logistics USA at the Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina.
