A new generation of heavy lift capability is joining the fleet.

MV Mila, the first vessel of the new 14K-700-Type series has officially joined the SAL fleet.

Designed for demanding heavy lift and project cargo operations, the 14K-700-Type combines high lifting capacity with exceptional cargo flexibility. Equipped with two 350-tonne heavy lift cranes, enabling tandem lifts of up to 700 tonnes, these vessels are built to handle oversized and complex cargoes for the energy, offshore, infrastructure, mining and industrial sectors.

MV Mila will soon be followed by her sister vessels MV Lina, MV Hannah and MV Pia, further strengthening our fleet with a new generation of versatile, fuel-efficient multipurpose vessels.

With their modern design, flexible cargo intake and efficient port turnaround, the 14K-700-Type series expands our ability to deliver reliable heavy lift and project cargo solutions across global trade lanes.

Spotted: HLV Fairplayer offloading project cargo in , including three modules weighing 105t, 156t, and 280t. The modules were discharged using our two 900t-capacity cranes in combination with a specially designed modular lifting frame.

You might remember this lifting frame from the SASOL project in 2017. Developed to accommodate modules of various sizes and lifting configurations, it remains a versatile solution that continues to prove its value years later. This operation is a perfect example of why we keep it ready for projects like these.

As you can see from the photos, the modules were carefully offloaded onto an awaiting barge.

A big thank you to Mammoet and HEBO for the excellent cooperation before, during, and after the discharge operations.

𝗔 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗩 𝗟𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗮.

The SAL Offshore team, as part of JSI Alliance, has successfully completed the first loading operation of the fully owned and managed Semi-Submersible Heavy Transport Vessel (HTV) operation using our own fleet asset, MV Luisa.

The project involved the float-on transport of the inland barges Scaldis and Duandra from the Netherlands to Uruguay, demonstrating our ability to deliver complex semi-submersible HTV projects fully in-house. From engineering and project management to marine operations and vessel ex*****on, every stage was managed by one integrated team.

This successful operation further expands the operational versatility of MV Luisa and demonstrates the integrated expertise that JSI Alliance brings to complex heavy transport and offshore projects.

A great achievement by everyone involved – congratulations to our colleagues on board and ashore on reaching this important milestone.

𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝘃𝘆 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮

JSI Alliance has successfully completed the heavy lift installation works for the Dahej berth expansion project in India, supporting the construction of a new liquid cargo berth for Gujarat Chemical Port Company Limited (GCPL).

Despite challenging site conditions, the project demonstrated how engineering expertise, innovative heavy lift solutions, and close collaboration can deliver safe and efficient results. Using the Jumbo Javelin, equipped with a fly-jib and a specially designed eight-point mooring system, the team successfully installed the critical offshore structures.

Project Manager Robert de Waard shares how the JSI Alliance developed a tailored solution for the project and reflects on the teamwork and expertise that made the project's successful delivery possible.
