Belangrijke wijziging paardentransport per 1 juni 2026

Vanaf 1 juni gelden er strengere regels voor het vervoeren van paarden. De NVWA beschouwt al het paardentransport als commercieel, tenzij je onder een uitzondering valt.

✅ Uitzondering (niet commercieel):
• Je eigen paard
• Met eigen vervoermiddel
• Voor recreatie, training, wedstrijd of buitenrit (niet-economisch)

❌ Wél commercieel / economisch:
• Paard staat op een bedrijfsmatige locatie waarbij je (mede-)eigenaar bent
• Transport naar markt of slachthuis
• Vervoer voor verkoop, lease of verhuur
• Circus- of werkpaarden
• Je hebt een vervoersbedrijf of schakelt er één in

Wat moet je doen?

Voor 1 juli 2026 actie ondernemen!
• Denk je dat je onder de uitzondering valt?
Stuur een e-mail naar [email protected] om je basisregistratie te behouden (belangrijk voor TRACES).
• Val je wél onder de regels?

Registreer je als commercieel vervoerder + Type 2 keuring trailer + CCV-certificaat.
Zonder actie vervalt je registratie en kun je geen internationaal transport meer regelen.

For international horse transport within the EU, the TRACES system is essential! 📜 It registers the horse passport, health certificate, and departure/destination addresses to ensure your horse’s safety and traceability. 🌍 In the Netherlands, your horse must be registered with the RVO using a UBN (Unique Business Number).
