Quicargo: Shipping Made Easy

Quicargo biedt één platform voor al het palletvervoer binnen de EU. The carrier will be paid by Quicargo within a few days.

Quicargo is an online platform which connects carriers who have unused loading space to shippers who need immediate transportation of their goods. According to the World Economic Forum, 69% of goods-transporting vehicles are running empty or with unused space, due to lack of communication and cooperation between carriers and shippers. This is where Quicargo comes in; we manage to exploit existing routes to maximize usage of loading space while saving time, cost, fuel, and minimizing pollution. By using Quicargo, shippers request a shipment and within a few minutes they receive quotes from carriers in the nearby area who have extra space. The shipper selects a carrier based on the distance, price, rating and reviews. Once the selection has been made, the shipper can track the cargo on his phone until it reaches the final destination. Upon shipment completion, both sides will be notified, receive automatic invoices and will be able to rank each other.

💡 Quicargo's Fast Facts 💡

Ever heard of the bullwhip effect?

Black Friday is right around the corner. Every year millions of people wait for the big discount day to buy Christmas gifts and more.

Events like this can create a problematic logistical phenomenon: the bullwhip effect. The bullwhip effect is caused by misjudgment of demand in a multi-staged supply chain. This happens due to a lack of transparency at the individual levels and poor communication. The actors within a supply chain oftentimes don't pay attention to the end customer's demand, but rather rely on information from the previous link in the supply chain.

As a result, more products are manufactured than necessary, which then are not consumed. As you can see, those miscalculations follow the typical movements of a bullwhip!

Truck or Treat! 🎃

Halloween is not traditionally celebrated in the Netherlands. However, the American holiday is becoming more and more popular: Trick & treating, upcoming parties and events give a reason to dress up in (spooky) costumes throughout the whole country.

What are you doing with halloween this weekend?
