Tired of stale, flat espresso shots? It’s time to single dose.

Stop dumping your whole bag of (expensive) coffee beans into your hopper! 🙅‍♂️

That’s more even extraction, more consistent shots, and less coffee going to waste ☕️.

Originally from Utrecht, the two recently traded it in for the coffee capital of Belgium: Antwerp 🇧🇪

“We’re “at home and out and about” coffee drinkers. Antwerp has some of the best coffee hotspots, killer koffiekoeken included.”

At home, Robert & Yvette are brewing with a Quickmill espresso machine and grinder. Robert is an americano-by-day, espresso-by-night drinker. And Yvette is always happy with an oat cappuccino a day, in her selfmade ceramic cup.

Where do they really align? Their love for the WDT tool, breaking up every last clump before extraction. Robert’s the scale type, while Yvette’s more of an eyeballer. Oh, and the dosing ring? “An absolute game-changer. No more bean spillage during grinding.” 🙌😍

Thanks for letting us peek into your Sunday setup, Robert & Yvette! ☕️

😢 Stop wasting beans while dialing in your coffee! Here are three tips to improve:

Tip 1: Look at the coffee label → generally, darker coffees will grind more easily, and a lighter roast is harder to grind.

Tip 2: ALWAYS use a scale! When your dose is consistent, you only have to focus on grinding coarser or finer.

Tip 3: Measure and time your yield, and taste!
Shot too fast and tastes sour? → grind finer
Shot too slow and tastes bitter? → grind coarser

With these tips, you have all the information you need to adjust your grinder. Want to learn more about dialing in your beans? Comment “🫘” below, and you will receive the link to our full guide.
