She can run a boardroom in her sleep. Last night she lay awake sure she wired money into a mistake.

The women building physical products carry a weight most founders never see. Expert in one field, brand new in this one, funding it with their family's money and not an investor's. None of it means she's doing it wrong. It means the game is harder than it looks from the outside.

Most teams ask one question of their work. Is it done. Box ticked, move on.

There is a second question that matters more. Is it done well enough to build the next thing on top of it. Done fills a box. Done well carries weight.

This is how I caught up a team that felt ahead of me. We asked both questions of every deliverable. What passed, we kept. What did not, we reopened.
It stops weak work from traveling downstream, where it turns into expensive surprises.

Pick one deliverable everyone calls finished and ask the second question.

A team once handed me a year of work. Drawings, specifications, real progress on paper.
Then I looked closely. The drawings were there, but not thorough. The specs were there, but not complete.

Done and done well are two different things. One fills a box on a plan. The other holds up when you build the next thing on it. Speed hides gaps, and the further you go on a weak step, the more it costs to fix.
