| Meet Annisa

What starts as a study abroad experience can sometimes turn into a life-changing journey.
When Annisa moved from Indonesia to the Netherlands in 2018, her goal was clear: pursue a Master's degree in Tourism, Society and Environment at Wageningen University. Drawn by the Netherlands' strong reputation for sustainability, environmental studies and international education, she saw an opportunity to combine her interest in tourism with broader societal and environmental challenges.

Like many expats, Annisa experienced the challenges and rewards of adapting to a new culture. Living and studying in an international environment taught her independence, resilience and adaptability. It also introduced her to different perspectives that continue to shape the way she approaches both work and life today.

One of the biggest lessons came from adapting to Dutch culture and the workplace.
"Dutch culture taught me to be more direct, open to feedback and confident in expressing my own opinion. Those experiences helped me grow both personally and professionally."

In 2023, Annisa joined Schmidt Global Relocations as a Move Manager. Today, she is a Team Leader, supporting colleagues and helping our clients navigate their own international journeys. Looking back, what started as an academic decision became the foundation for a career, personal growth and a new home.
"Moving here for my studies became much more than an academic journey. The Netherlands has become a place where I built my career, developed as a person and created a life of my own."

Women's Day commemorates the historic 1956 march of more than 20,000 women to the Union Buildings in Pretoria, who stood together to advocate for equality and change.

For our team building day, we took to the roads and nature trails around Woudenberg on classic Solex bikes. Over the course of two hours, we enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, shared plenty of laughs, and strengthened the connections that help us work together every day.
