We are delighted to welcome Bert Hazelaar as Chane’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), joining our Leadership Team on 1 September. Bert will lead Chane’s Finance organisation and play a central role in supporting the ex*****on of Chane’s growth strategy.

Bert brings extensive international finance leadership experience across the energy and financial services sectors, most recently as Chief Operating Officer and Finance Director of Shell Asset Management Company.

We are pleased to announce that Karen de Lathouder will join Chane as Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Karen brings extensive executive leadership experience across the energy, infrastructure and mobility sectors. Most recently, she served as COO at Eneco and currently serves on the Supervisory Board of NS Groep.

As COO, Karen will join the Chane Leadership Team and lead Chane's operations across its European terminal network, helping to further strengthen safe and reliable operations, continuous improvement and collaboration across our terminals and offices.

At Chane Terminal Geulhaven, phase 3 of the terminal expansion is taking shape.

With an additional 20,000 m³ of storage capacity, this development builds on existing infrastructure and operational expertise to support growing volumes of renewable feedstocks, vegetable oils, fats and oleochemical products.
What stands out most is the dedication of the people involved. From engineering and project management to terminal operations, there is a shared sense of pride in delivering a project that creates long-term value for our customers and strengthens the terminal for the future.

From creating clearer procedures around critical operational processes to helping teams maintain focus and priorities, her work is about creating practical improvements that make a real difference.
