What a great anniversary edition of Maritime Industry 2026!

Over the past few days, we had the pleasure of welcoming many visitors, partners, clients and industry colleagues to our stand. It was great to (re)connect with familiar faces, meet new people and exchange ideas about inland shipping.

We would like to thank everyone who took the time to visit us. We look back on three successful days and are already looking forward to the next edition!

Day 1 at the Maritime Industry is in full-swing | Today is the start of the Maritime Industry. Our stand H38 always is the hotspot during the event, where people within inland shipping come together. During these three days our team is ready to meet up with visitors. Whether you would like to explore the opportunities of working for or with the Maaskade Group, talk about business as usual or just want to catch up with our crew, we are ready to meet.

Soon the Maritime Industry will take place and once again the Maaskade Group will be present during this special 20th jubilee edition.

This year, the trade fair for inland shipping celebrates its anniversary edition for shipbuilders, shipping companies, captains, suppliers, innovators, and policy makers working together on the future of shipping.

The Mts Prinsenland just recently joined the fleet from member Water Afval Verwerking B.V. This barge will be active in the Port of Rotterdam region. From Rotterdam to Dordrecht and from Kinderdijk to other close-by destinations. Visit wavboat.eu and submit your application right away.

Due to increasing demand in the Port of Rotterdam region, member WAV (Water Afval Verwerking) has expanded its fleet with the Mts Prinsenland. The barge has been fully prepared and made ready for transport at the Engsteph – Scheurwater shipyard and has since successfully completed its first assignments.

This addition strengthens WAV’s operational capacity alongside its existing activities in the Port of Amsterdam region, where the Mts IJsselmonde and Mts Ruyterkade handle the processing of wastewater, residue, and kitchen grease from passenger ships calling at the port.

Together, these barges ensure efficient and sustainable wastewater processing solutions.

The Mts Parkkade's sea trial was spectacularly captured by the Maritime Filming Group. Beautiful footage from the air and on board, showing the Mts Parkkade in its natural environment, joined by the Mts Willemskade.

This impressive barge, measuring 110 meters in length and 11.40 meters in width, was officially christened last Friday at Dolderman bv. With its stainless steel cargo tanks and piping, this ship is ready to play an important role in inland shipping. Many of our partners have worked hard recently to get everything ready for her first sea trial.

A true asset to the Maaskade Group fleet.

After months of hard work, the time had finally come: the official christening of the Mts Parkkade on the 10th of April. Together with our guests, we christened the new barge in the traditional way with a bottle of champagne and the words: “Parkkade, I christen you and wish you and your crew a safe voyage.”

A 2-day event with a great atmosphere, the addition of this new barge marks another great milestone within the Maaskade Group, and in particular for our member Maaskade Bevrachters, for whom it will transport liquid non-hazardous cargo.

We would like to thank all parties involved who made the realization of this inland barge possible and of course our guests, who shared this special moment with us. On to a successful future for the Mts Parkkade and its owner.

On April 9, we attended the NOFOTA Annual Dinner, held at the historic Laurenskerk in Rotterdam.

The evening brought together a wide range of professionals from across the oils and fats industry. From producers and traders to logistics partners and of course several members of the Maaskade Group. With three Maaskade Group-hosted tables, it was a great opportunity to connect, exchange insights and strengthen relationships in an informal setting.

We like to thank NOFOTA, the Dutch trade association for companies involved in the production, trade, and use of oils, fats, and oilseeds. It sets international contract standards and offers arbitration for dispute resolution.
