The things you see during a walk with the tall guy'd are more then the obvious tourist spots, as Bergen was the first city in Norway to allow street artists to use the public space in the city as their canvas. Something old, something new, something borrowed something blue.
I Bergen the marriage between historic Håkonshall and state of the art modern ships can often be seen during a walk with the tall guy'd😉 This vessel runs on lpg and the circular tower is a sail (!!) aiding to create energy for the green engines.

In the history of Bergen many ships sank in or nearby the harbour... This one remains a mystery as we are in modern time...

In the history of Bergen many ships sank in or nearby the harbour... This one remains a mystery as we are in modern times without piracy or seabattles. This wooden to masted vessel was even docked to the pier and still sank. The people on-board, using it as their permanent home, almost drauned as they were surprised in their sleep and their cabin door would not open. They did manage to call for help and survived but lost all of their personal belongings😢

Ever wondered what this jukebox look alike thing in Bergen is? It is an art installation that shows statistics on the amount of rain we get in Bergen. The more blue it gets, the more rain is measured... It shows current rainfall in mm and statistics on previous rainy days. As you can see 2015 was a terrible year with lots of rain.
