Iconic Trænastaven 🌄

Helgelands outermost Mountain, standing 338m tall, only reachable by ferry, foot and a steep climbing route. So challenging that even most of Trænas inhabitants have never climbed it.

Between the 5th-11th our guides were hired by Rana Spesialsport 🤝 to safely guide 38 people in 4 tours up (and down 😉) the peak. The youngest climber was only 8 years old while the oldest were 68,69 and 70 years old. 🎉

Unforgettable memories from the polar circle with views over the Arctic Ocean, northern Norways biggest glaciers, and up to the Lofoten Archipelago✨🌅⛰️

🧗 What exactly is Via Ferrata?

Would you like to experience the mountains in a whole new way? Via Ferrata is a secured climbing route where you follow a permanently installed steel cable through spectacular terrain—a perfect combination of a sense of accomplishment, excitement, and fantastic views.

At HiNorth, you can choose the experience that suits you best:

🧗 Guided Via Ferrata
Bookable every day. A guide will lead you safely through the route and share their knowledge of the area along the way—perfect for both first-time visitors and those who want an extra-safe experience.

🧗 Drop-in for experienced climbers
Between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., you can climb on your own, without a guide. This option is for those who have the necessary experience with Via Ferrata.

🚀 End your adventure with the Zip Line!
After the climb, you can cap off your trip with an adrenaline rush as you soar through the air on our spectacular zip line.

You can choose between:
✅ Via Ferrata
✅ Via Ferrata (with/without guide) + Zip Line (combo package)
✅ Zip Line Only

📅 Guided tours are available every day during the summer season.

After a quiet period, it’s time for an update.

HiNorth is now part of Adventure Helgeland, but we’ll continue to offer the spectacular nature experiences you’ve come to know us for.

☀️ Summer Drop-In until August 12 (10:00–17:00):

🧗 Via Ferrata – guided tours every day at 10:00 (booking in advance required)

🧗‍♂️ Self-guided Via Ferrata drop-in between 10:00–12:00 (for experienced climbers)

⚡ Zipline – drop-in all day

🕳️ Cave tours every day at 17:00 (booking in advance required, minimum 3 participants)

🏔️ Okstindan glacier tours on request (minimum 3 participants)

After August 12, all activities can still be booked on request.

We also arrange:
