Yesterday I did not cover as much as I wanted to, just cause the day ended with the usual stuff from above and the forecast for the comming days, I decided to run off to free shelter in Bodø for the next few days, but might take a trip up to complete the rest of the missing parts from yesterday on saturday.
Monday morning I need to be back in Bodø so I can change my tires and fix the broken parts from the hare collision on my second day of travel.
Had to wait for mechanics returning from vacation.
I stopped to eat at Ulvsvåg hotel and cafe, where I ordered flatfish. Meal looked great, but was raw in the middle so I returned the plate and got anther dish, which also was raw in the middle. That was the last piece they had so they brought it back and gave it a couple more minutes on the pan.
Which resulted in overcooked and dry dish.
I was so tired of waiting and wanted to hit the road again after 1h waiting for my food. So I stuffed it in and left. Taste 3/5 overcoocked, decorations 4/5
Service 2/5 no free desert offered after their tripple messup.
During the day I took the ferry from Kjøpsvik to Drag, then went up to Bogenes and Tysnes which was a pleasent surprise, nice beaches up there and lots of good campingspots noted for future travel.
Arrived in Bodø at 22:00 where I met my cousin who provided me with free shelter for as long as I need.
Today I will just relax and wait out the weather. Then see what tomorrow brings.
Prox 1100km left north of Bodø remain.
On Monday I will start my way home, little sad I did not manage to fullfill my original plan reaching Trondheim, so Helgeland Coastline will be done when the weather gives me a gap next year.

Yesterday I finished off the last parts of Lofoten and went inland towards Narvik, with a quick detour to Riksgrensen for some resticking😂
After Narvik I visited all possible roads between Narvik and the ferrypoints Skarberget and Kjøpsvik where I put up a tent 4am
Funally a day eithout heavy tain but of course what would the day be if there was none.
Stetind was clouded so I didn’t see the peak, but got some views of the mountains here that are so spectacular.
One location that many miss out on in this area, Sør-Skjomen
What a cool place and nice roads towards it.
Today I will be heading towards Engeløya and then slowly crawl towards Bodø over the next few days.
Have an appointment for tire change there on monday.
Hopefully I get it done in the morning.

Reached the lst islands of Lofoten and visited Sandøya,Bjarkøy and Grytøy before i started on my journey towards Narvik.
On the road I met a couple mooses that I would have missed if the sign wasn’t there. Phew
Further on I went to Elgsnes a remote location on the very tip og a half peninsula, got some great shots from there.
Missed the last ferry for the day from Refsnes and had to crash in at a nice free campsite in the end of Kvæfjord. Nice place to rest out between the sheeps.
Next day I drove to the ferry and had to wait for 45 min so I visited the cafe next to it and got a coffee and a cinamon bun from the lovelly host.
The day started iut sunny so I got a few hours film for once.
Headed out towards Øknses hamn and met some fantastic people living on an Island called Kjeøya. Here I managed to use the drone for a short visit to the island.
In Lødingen i started to look for a place to stay for a couple days, since weather yet again started to poor down and the next comming days it’s going to be wet as well.
Ended up in Fjelldal and finally back to the mainland
Will stay here until wednesday before I continue towards Narvik

Driving through the night yesterday, tried to put the rain behind me, but my average luck struck again, the rain was chasing me all night.
One guy on it’s way to Tromsø could not start his bike after filling gas, so he entered the store where I shopped some snack, and asked for help.
He was lucky I was there, cause my jumpstart kit saved his day.
Noone else had cables in their car. Go figure they are all electric, but using them to help others in need might damage their electronic.
So a little advice while exploring now a days is to bring your jumpstarter kit. Mine also have a powerbank and flashlight feature that come in handy charging or hunting for that lost key.
During the night I got so cold that I had to take a pitstop at one of those 24/7 shops they have up here. Fell asleep in achair inside the shop and woke up after a couple hours when the next customer arrived 😂😅
Finished off my leg at 16:00 23h after I started out yesterday, guess who will be sleeping for a long time watching France beat England.
Took another pitstop for some cake and coffee before I headed towards my expected hostell.
See the reel about that fu**up.

After a major mishap from my side regarding the booking for the night, I was surprised the host fixes the issue.
I arrived at the Storfossen Hostel in Gratangsbotn, and called the host to know which room I should use, but he couldnt find my booking.
I on the otherhand knew I’ve booked and we both looked through the ordering.
I basically fu**ed up big time since my booking was for the 10-11th oct, while I was there today expecting to get a recharge.
Host came up with a fantastic solution.
He let me borrow his flat as he called it.
Upon arrival there, I had in mind a small apartment.
And to my surprise it was a whole house 3 storeys high, 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 livingrooms, and a full kitchen.
All for the same price as I already spent on my october booking.
Talk about service.

Thought if I chase the rainbow I will be sun somewhere around, but when I got to the place the rainbow was gone, and as well the sun.
Had to take shelter in a foodstore that was 24/7 to get some heat and to dry up.
Got a two hour nap there as well.
Been driving since 17:00 yesterday all through the night just to escape the oncomming showers aiming for my previous location. Sad thing though it keep on following me everywhere I go.
Maybe I should just go home, they complaun its to warm there. And I seem to attract the rain this summer.
Gonna find a cabin and do some laundry today and have a oong rest before I finish off the remaining parts of Lofoten, a two-three day task depending on the weather.
Some cool locations ahead, looking forward to them😊

Some locations visited today, was waiting for my tent to dry up before I left my campsite, at 17:00 it finally had enough time to do so, and hit the road,
Lyngsalpene are quite stunning view even if the clouds try to hide them from my gaze.
After a short break at midnight in Målselv I will head out towards the islands south og Finnsnes and see how far I get tonight, and find a campsite when I get tired of the ongoing shower from above
