Important Update – New EU Transport Rules
Important information for our customers
The EU has introduced new transport regulations affecting light commercial vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes, including the 20 m³ vans commonly used for long-distance removals and transport.
These vehicles are now subject to stricter driving-time and rest-period rules when used for international transport.
What does this mean for your move?
Long-distance removals will now require more driving days and additional rest periods. As a result:
* 🚚 Journeys may take longer than before
* 📅 Delivery and collection schedules may require additional days
* ⏱️ Drivers cannot simply continue driving for long hours as they could previously
* 💶 Transport and moving costs will inevitably increase
We understand that nobody likes to see prices increase. However, these additional costs are a direct consequence of the new regulations and the extra time, operating days and driver requirements involved.
We will continue to do everything possible to keep our prices as competitive as possible while remaining fully compliant with European transport regulations.
