The last few weeks, we have had a lot of rain with a few sunny days in between. During this period, the water levels in Jølstravatnet and Kjøsnesfjorden have risen considerably. This means that we cannot go under the bridge, but we can still offer the full Tour of Kjøsnesfjord with our extra boat at Lunde beach. From Panorama Camping, we can offer customised tours on Jølstravatnet and see a landslide that recently came down the mountainside of Orkja after heavy rain. Get in touch to plan a comfortable and scenic bout trip. Many beautiful experiences await you, even if it is cloudy weather, and the glacier is even bluer in colour in these conditions. På biletet kan du sjå ein 93 år gamal mann fra Drøbak. Han hugsar då han 6,5 år gamal såg Blücher kome inn Oslofjorden i 1940. Etter at eit familiemedlem flytta til Sunnfjord har han vore over 50 somre i området vårt, og ein rekkje gonger på Jølstravatnet for å fiske. Han fortalde om eventyrlege fangster både på stang og med oter. Ein god grunn til å stadig komme attende, heilt sidan byrjinga av 70-talet. Denne gongen var det med dottera, og uten vidare seremoni klatra han om bord i snekka vår som om det var den enklaste ting i verda. Det var ei sann glede å utveksle historiar og dele utsikta frå båten med ein so røynd gjest. Velkomen attende! (Bilete og historie gjengjeve med tillatelse)

For første gang på mange år kan du igjen oppleve Breimsvatnet fra sjøsiden. I et unikt samarbeid mellom Jølster Boat Tours, Gordon Hotel og Kandal har vi skapt en helt spesiell opplevelse som varer i fire uker denne sommeren.

Dette er mer enn en båttur. Det er en reise gjennom vakker natur, levende kulturhistorie og sporene etter Den Trondhjemske Postvei – den gamle ferdselsåren som i sin tid bandt bygdene sammen over Breimsvatnet. Her får du oppleve historien der den faktisk skjedde.
