UniSea has acquired Kaiko Systems!

Nearly three decades ago we started as an HSEQ specialist. Today we are a full-suite Fleet Management System provider. Kaiko brings best-in-class frontline inspections to the group, covering SIRE 2.0, hull and equipment, and port state control preparation.

Together, our combined group now supports over 4,000 vessels worldwide.

Kaiko also brings serious applied AI to maritime operations: proprietary computer vision for document detection, image verification, and corrosion detection across the inspection workflow. As our COO Dagfinn Rasmussen put it, it gives UniSea a meaningful step up in applied AI, helping customers automate, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.

A warm welcome to Fabian Fussek, Eddy Ernesto del Valle Pino, and the entire Kaiko team. We are excited about what we will achieve together.

UniSea has completed the acquisition of German maritime software company Kaiko Systems to further expand its Fleet Management System (FMS) with AI-powered pre-inspection tools, establishing a new international maritime tech group.

This weekend, 10 UniSea employees took part in the relay race in Stavanger. The effort was outstanding, and everyone met or exceeded their personal goals and expectations.

Bergen-based Utkilen AS has selected UniSea to run fleet-wide operations across all 16 of its chemical tankers, moving on from a legacy system to the full Enterprise package, Technical bundle, and SIRE and TMSA modules.

"Moving onto a modern platform that continuously evolves was an important factor for us. We wanted a partner committed to long-term development rather than a tool we would need to replace again in five years," says Sven Halvorsen, IT Operations Manager, Utkilen AS.

Bremen-based Harren Group has selected UniSea Maindeck as their dry-docking management solution, after testing several alternatives on the market.

A busy week for us at UniSea🤩

Two conferences for our sales team, with Kurt Roar Vilhelmsen and Satish Kanakasabai attending SeaJapan in Tokyo, and Bjarne Mannes and Dan Andre Aarsvold attenting (and Dan speaking) at the HAMBURG MARITIME FORUM in Germany.

Our technical team is also busy, with Eivind Søvik visiting Stil Merkur in Stavanger, Norway and Benjamin Røstenskar visiting Normand Samson in South Carolina, USA.
