NYK becomes sole owner of Saga Welco AS

Saga Welco AS confirms that an agreement has been entered into under which NYK Group will become the sole shareholder of Saga Welco AS, subject to customary regulatory approvals.

As part of this transaction, Saga Welco will transition from its current pool structure to an owner/operator business model. All existing contracts, operational arrangements and points of contact remain unchanged.

NYK is a long-term industrial shipping group with a strong commitment to the segments in which Saga Welco operates. The transaction reflects confidence in Saga Welco’s platform, operational expertise and global organization.

Commenting on the transaction, Trond Moe Hanssen, President & CEO of Saga Welco AS, said:
