MS Richard With This is the official page of the Hurtigruten ship MS Richard With 🚢 MS Richard With is named after the founder of Hurtigruten, Captain Richard With.

His establishment of the Norwegian Coastal Express back in 1893 had an enormous impact in life along the Norwegian coast. This ship was delivered to us in 1993, 100 years after our founder completed his first ever Hurtigruten voyage. On board there is beautiful art by the famous Harr family. The panorama lounges, Horisont and Syvstjernen, treat you to unforgettable views of the surrounding scenery.

🌅 For en vakker soloppgang nord for polarsirkelen i morges. Det kjennes at dagene blir lengre nå.

Ein wunderschöner Sonnenaufgang heute Vormittag in der Arktis. In 2 Wochen endet die Polarnacht.

☂️ yesterday, we were in Svolvær, Lofoten and it was raining a bit. Sometimes travellers are surprised to learn that even in the Arctic we get quite mild temperatures (average -2°C) due to the Gulf Stream. And this makes it quite pleasant to hunt Northern Lights in the winter 🤩

Det ble litt våt i Svolvær, Lofoten i går kveld. Ofte er våre reisende overrasket at det er ganske mildt vær langs norskekysten pga golfstrømmen. Men med en gjennomsnittlig vintertemperatur på -2 grader er det mulig å være lenge ute på dekk for å jakte på nordlyset 🎄

❄️❄️❄️ It has been snowing a lot the past few days and the coast has turned into a winter wonderland. Today we got to open the snowshoeing season with a fantastic hike in Sortland 🤩

Det har kommet mye snø i det siste og i dag fikk vi endelig gå sesongens første trugetur 🤗
