A quiet winter moment in the Oslofjord, seen from the deck of a slowly moving boat.

Passengers sit close together by the railing, wrapped in winter coats and hats. Some are focused on the landscape, others on conversation or simply watching the water below. There’s no rush here. This is sightseeing that has decided to slow down. No crowd.

The fjord is dark and calm, with small sheets of ice drifting silently past. Across the water lie low islands and headlands, their rocky shores dusted with snow, bare trees and a handful of bath-houses clinging to the coastline. A touch of civilization, plenty of nature. Classic Oslofjord scenery.

The sky is bright but overcast, giving the scene a soft, muted tone of grey and blue. Nothing dramatic. Just honest winter light. One of those days where the fjord does the talking without trying too hard.
