Four journeys into the Khumbu this season, following the trail to Everest through forests, villages, high passes and glacier country.

All teams reached Everest Base Camp, arriving beneath the Khumbu Icefall after steady days on the trail and a strong, well-paced acclimatisation through the valley. A huge accomplishment for all, congratulations!

Thank you to every guest and crew member who joined us in the Khumbu, along with those behind the scenes at home who helped make the season possible. We’re already looking forward to next season!

The final LMJ Team of the season has returned safely to Kathmandu completing the Everest Base Camp expedition.

“This morning, Everest Base Camp’s commanding amphitheatre of towering peaks stood stark beneath a high overcast sky. It looked promising for flying, until a fast-moving band of fog swept up the valley and quickly changed the mood.

Our two helicopters departed Kathmandu on schedule in clear conditions, but deteriorating visibility around Lobuche forced operations onto standby. And so began the familiar mountain routine: wait, hope, and watch the weather. Webcams became the source of constant updates as we tracked every shift in the clouds.

At last, the fog began to lift and the operation moved quickly.

The journey out was completed in three stages: Everest Base Camp to Pheriche with a maximum of two passengers, Pheriche to Lukla with four passengers, and finally, after refuelling and changing helicopters in Lukla, the 45-minute flight back to Kathmandu.”

Congratulations to Annika, Jamie, Jeff, Nick and Marco for making it to Everest Base Camp (5,350m)!

“Last night’s brilliant canopy of stars raised hopes for a spectacular Everest sunrise, but the mountains had other plans. By morning, low cloud drifted across the valley and snow began to fall, transforming the landscape into something equally beautiful and unforgettable.

Despite the cold and reduced visibility, spirits were high as the team set out on the final 2–3 hour trek to Everest Base Camp. Careful footing was essential on the snow-covered rocks, while wind-driven snow added both challenge and atmosphere to the journey.

At the entrance to Base Camp stands the famous, graffiti-covered “Trekkers Rock”, where celebrations began in earnest with photos, laughter, and well-earned moments of reflection.”

Our third luxury Everest Base Camp Trek has made it to Monjo after sightseeing in Kathmandu and a scenic flight into the Himalaya.

"The trail undulated gently, weaving through colorful villages. Our first day covered a relaxed 5 km (3.3 miles), with a 300 m (959 ft) ascent—an ideal introduction to the journey ahead. Lunch in Monjo offered an opportunity to sample traditional Nepali dishes, including dal bhat." Mike Roberts

Tomorrow, the teams ascends to the vibrant market town of Namche Bazaar (3,440 m).

The original Khumbu transport network, still going strong.

The yak has been moving supplies through these valleys for centuries, long before any of us showed up with our hiking poles and down jackets. On the trail to Everest, you share the path. And the yak always has right of way.

A fifteen-day Luxury EBC trek complete. Every member of the team reached Everest Base Camp.
