Greater Nepal is a historical concept that refers to a larger territorial extent of Nepal

Historically, the concept of Greater Nepal originated during the 19th century when Nepal was ruled by the Shah dynasty. At that time, Nepal extended to regions that are now parts of present-day India, including parts of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal. However, Nepal lost these territories in the Sugauli Treaty of 1816 with the East India Company.
