Himalayan Outdoor Project

Himalayan Outdoor Project Education Experience Excellence Expertise The Himalayan Outdoors is a magazine that celebrates the outdoors. The Himalayan outdoors is calling. Give up comfort.

There is hardly an adventure destination as bewitching as Nepal, yet there is not a single publication in the country wholly devoted to travel, adventure sports, and the wilderness. The best stories from the outdoors don’t make it to our doorsteps. The Himalayan Outdoors is a place for lovers of the active lifestyle to tell their tales. We hope their stories – your stories – will inspire others to

embark on their own adventures. Although we are focused more on stories from Nepal, we are also interested in stories from further afield, from all over the world. For us, what matters most is the experience and the telling. Besides entertaining and inspiring, our stories are aimed to inform and educate people about aspects of the outdoors lifestyle like health and fitness, destinations, gear and equipment. The label ‘adventurer’ does not belong only to the one who is the first to do something; it is, we believe, applicable to each individual who steps away from the coziness of routine life every now and then to answer a calling long suppressed. Listen to that voice, if only once in a while. Step outside.

Thin air. Deep silence. One foot in front of the other at 8,163 meters.

You don’t conquer the mountain. You discover what you’re made of along the way.

Headlamps in the darkness. Crampons biting ice. The final ridge, a knife-edge of snow against a dawn sky.

Then 6,189 meters. Standing level with giants. Everest a distant plume behind you.
You came to climb. You leave knowing exactly who you are.

Departure dates on April 14th and 29th

You don’t leave this camp with a certificate. You leave with something better: the memory of a moment when you were scared and did it anyway. The sound of your group cheering. The quiet pride of knowing you showed up for yourself.

No Kayak, No Problem, I will build one out of an unimaginable product ! Call it innovative or necessity ! Or may be, necessity is the origin or innovation 🤔

Some of the best places not to miss trekking in your life time;

1 - Everest Base Camp Trek: Witness the majesty of the world’s highest peak up close. However, be prepared for altitude sickness risk and crowds.

2 - Annapurna Circuit Trek: Trek through diverse landscapes, passing by glaciers, villages, and stunning mountains like Annapurna I. A long and demanding trek, but incredibly rewarding.

3 - Manaslu Circuit Trek: A less-crowded alternative to the Annapurna Circuit, offering equally breathtaking views and cultural experiences. Requires good fitness and acclimatization.

4 - Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek: Circle the 7th highest mountain in the world, encountering dramatic landscapes and off-the-beaten-path villages. Highly challenging and remote.

5 - Gokyo Lakes Trek: Hike past turquoise lakes at the foot of the majestic Ngozumpa Glacier. Offers stunning scenery and unique high-altitude flora.

6 - Langtang Valley Trek: Explore a traditional Tibetan Buddhist region with beautiful alpine meadows and dramatic glacial valleys. Good acclimatization needed.

7 - Mardi Himal Trek: Enjoy panoramic views of Machhapuchhre (“Fishtail”) mountain and Annapurna peaks on this moderately strenuous trek. Great for acclimatization before tackling higher treks.

8 - P**n Hill Trek: Hike up P**n Hill for a postcard-perfect sunrise view over Annapurna peaks. Moderate climb with shorter duration.

9 - Upper Mustang: Trek through a unique Tibetan Buddhist kingdom characterized by red rock canyons, ancient monasteries, and yak caravans. Requires special permits and good fitness.

10 - Tsum Valley: Discover a remote and culturally rich valley nestled between Manaslu and Ganesh Himal. Offers traditional villages, stunning scenery, and off-the-beaten-path experience.

11 - Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek: Immerse yourself in the dramatic landscapes of the world’s 3rd highest peak in a less-crowded region. Requires experience and good acclimatization.
