🌴 I've just returned from one of the most extraordinary trips of my 30-year travel career — Sri Lanka.

Known as "The Pearl of the Indian Ocean" — this incredible island has everything. Ancient rock fortresses, leopard safaris, misty tea plantations, colonial beach towns and some of the warmest, most welcoming people I've ever encountered anywhere in the world.

In September I travelled through Sri Lanka with my wife — climbing the magnificent Sigiriya Rock Fortress (that's me in the photo! 😊), spotting leopards in Yala National Park, exploring the tea country of Nuwara Eliya and finishing at the stunning Heritance Ahungalla on the south coast.
