Hart Haulage is growing and we're looking for experienced tipper drivers to join our West Auckland team.

We have immediate openings for Class 4 and Class 5 drivers. With new trucks on the way and more work than ever, now is a great time to come on board.

What we're looking for:
Class 4 or 5 licence
Road-ranger gearbox experience
Tipping, jack-knifing and spreading experience
Flexible availability — early starts and late finishes are part of the job
Clear communicator who takes pride in their paperwork and their truck
Available 5.5 days per week
Able to pass a pre-employment drug test

I’m looking for assistance in Wellington. The trucks have made it to the South Island but we can’t get the accommodation (caravan) over until Saturday 1:30 ferry.

I’m looking for a parking spot as close to the ferry terminal to put the Ute and caravan from Wednesday until Saturday when I’ll fly someone in to put on the boat.

Obviously happy to pay for parking. Caravan is 11m Silverado 5.5 so total 17m. Obviously can be split.

We have two full time roles available based at our Fred Taylor Drive yard in West Auckland:

• 6 Wheeler Driver
• Truck & Trailer Driver

All work is tipper based. This is steady, ongoing full time work with a well maintained fleet.

What we’re looking for:

6 Wheeler Driver
• Proven Class 4 experience
• Tipper experience preferred
• Confident reversing and tipping
• Roadranger an advantage, not essential

Truck & Trailer Driver
• Proven Class 5 truck and trailer experience
• Roadranger competent
• Confident reversing, jackknifing and tipping

You’ll need a solid work ethic, clear communication, reliable references, and the ability to pass a drug and alcohol test.

GRAPE SEASON DRIVERS WANTED | BLENHEIM

We’re looking for experienced contractor or fixed-term drivers to come away with us for the grape season in Blenheim.

Late February to early March start
Anticipated duration of 4 to 6 weeks

Drivers must be available for the full period. This role is not suitable for part-time availability or for drivers with minimal truck and trailer experience.

We are able to relocate drivers from anywhere in the country. Auckland and Waikato based drivers, or those local to the region, will be preferred so we can assess capability prior to the season starting.

What the job involves:
• Grape cartage in and around Blenheim
• Liquid loads
• 60 to 70 hours per week
• Backing and tipping required
• Operating heavy truck and trailer combinations up to 54T

What we’re looking for:
• Class 5 licence
• Several years heavy truck and trailer experience
• Confident backing and tipping
• Strong communication and safe driving practices
• Reliable and able to commit for the full season

What we provide:

In the early hours of the morning on 15 January, around 1:00am, someone attempted to break into our yard and steal an old tipper body.

It was a massively unsuccessful undertaking, involving an ambitious but poorly executed attempt to grind the bin in half, which achieved little more than noise, sparks, disappointment, and absolutely no bin.

While nothing was successfully stolen, the once-usable bin is now damaged, the fence needs replacing, and a solid amount of time, money, and energy has been generously donated to fixing someone else’s bad decision.

Like most small businesses, we work hard to build what we have and make an honest living. Having that undone overnight by a cordless grinder and a lack of planning is frustrating, sad, and frankly a bit embarrassing for the person responsible.

We are currently compiling evidence to pass on to law enforcement.
If anyone saw or heard anything, or has any footage from around the area at that time, we would really appreciate you getting in touch.
