This week we loaded a couple of new agricultural balers onto flat racks. These are special purpose containers that allow for out of gauge cargo going to destinations that don't have a roll on roll off service.
Flat racks need special handling, loading, strapping, and inspecting. The load has to be positioned precisely to ensure that the centre of gravity is balanced in the load, and then surveyed before loading onto a vessel to ship over to India.
These are 9300 kgs each!

Another day, another Hiab! We can certainly say that the view from our office window is never the same each day.

We had an open top container that needed the pieces lifted out of the top via crane. More puzzle pieces to place, which is our favourite thing. Do you have any oversized or out of gauge cargo? We'd love to help!

Did you know that we also do shop fitouts and Exhibition services? Recently we handled the import of shop fittings for a new branch opening in Auckland. We handled the shipping and clearance, stored it until the delivery date, and arranged after hours delivery to a very tough access site.
And all with a smile on our faces! Thanks to our team for their after hours dedication. Go team Rocket 🚀

We had the pleasure of shipping this beauty in to New Zealand. At over 3 and a half tonne, and 75 cubic metres, it's one of the biggest trailer boats we've towed into store.
The warehouse seemed pretty small all of a sudden!
Did you know that there are different tariffs for your boat depending on the size, and where the engine is? There are also some new rules with MPI around ballast water, so if you're thinking about shipping your boat, get in touch with us, we'd love to help.

Last weekend was a rollercoaster. On Saturday we got all excited, the straight was open! Yay! Celebrations!
The on Sunday it was closed. Boo.

Nothing like a little heavy lifting to kick off the week!
We love these projects that are a little bit out of the box, in this case quite literally as it was an open top container that needed to be top loaded to fit everything in.
These seemingly small units are parts of some ridiculously heavy machinery that was used on the City Rail link project, and are now being returned to Singapore.
We arranged the load planning, cranage, site planning, lashing, loading and of course the shipping overseas (which was actually the easy part on this one!)

This school holidays has been HARD! And with the addition of the Easter weekend, seems to have lasted forever. We had our youngest in a moonboot, a cyclone, and generally rubbish weather which has meant everyone stuck inside, puzzles, board games, and alot of snacks. Through all this though, freight keeps moving. Planes and ships keep arriving, and deliveries need to be made. We are so very lucky to have our amazing team driving the ship; the help and support they give that allows me to spend many hours in the A&E and starship hospital while things still get done, and deliveries made.
Team Rocket is the best 😍 I will die on this hill! (It's true though, check the reviews!) Hope you all survived the holidays, and that you still have some wine left to get you through the weekend. Kia Kaha everyone!

As the saying goes, it never rains, it POURS! Along with everything else going on in the world, we have a cyclone due to hit the North Island this weekend.
This is going to result in port closures, vessel delays, and container backlogs. We also expect that the Cook Strait Ferry will be cancelled for some time, and potential road closures in already saturated areas.
Expect some delays in your deliveries, and possibly unpacks.
If you can, stay home and stay dry! We will update you again on Monday. Stay safe out there everyone.
