Been waiting all week to post this - Caught a 1926 Austin Seven 'Chummy' driving from Spencerville (north of Christchurch) last Sunday. Was probably doing 60km/h too which is near its top speed! Awesome to see a 100 year old car on the road still 👍

While at a Honda car meet today my friend spotted this 1962 Vauxhall Victor Deluxe in Christchurch filling up at the NPD we were at. Apparently the owner was taking his friend for a tour around North Canterbury with it, and it's his only classic car that can do 100km/h. A very tidy example. Photo credit to Jet 👍

Happy Sunday everyone! Here's a photo I took of the Hampden Store in 2023 when I was driving through. I parked my 1984 Toyota Corolla amongst the classic cars and wrecks on display. The second from left is a 1950 Ford Prefect and the second from right is a 1985 Ford Tempo GL, which was imported here from the US in 1995. Behind my car is another rusty wreck of some kind. I'm sure some of you will be able to identify the other two cars.

Third and final post of the 1987 Subaru Justy saga. Thanks to everyone who has shared their experience with these cars. We can now conclude they are an awesome subcompact car which would have done alright had it not been for the designers being too ambitious with the clutch 😭 what was wrong with the synchromesh? 🤣 With the eight ball gear know it'd be like shaking hands with an old friend. Instead you're jerking down the street like a learner getting in a manual for the first time. I believe the new clutch design was introduced in 1987 so there is a small window between 1984 - 1987 where these are solid cars if you can keep them garaged to avoid rust 👌
