This month, we’re proud to celebrate one year since Bascik Transport established our new Taupō site.

This milestone represents more than just a new facility. It reflects our continued investment in regional New Zealand and our commitment to providing customers throughout Taupō, the Central Plateau and beyond with reliable, responsive freight solutions.

Our Taupō operation has become an important link in the Bascik national network, connecting regional customers with our wider network across New Zealand.

With increased capacity, modern facilities and a strong local team, we’re better positioned to support our customers as their businesses grow.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank our Taupō team, customers, partners and local community for their ongoing support over the past year.

Great to see our new Tauranga Depot in Tauriko really starting to take shape!

The countdown is on, and we’re incredibly excited to share the progress as we build what will be a significant addition to the Bascik Transport network.

This will be our third new depot in less than 12 months, reinforcing our commitment to investing in regional New Zealand and expanding our capability to support our customers.

But this isn’t just about a bigger facility — it’s about bringing more services together under one roof, including:

- Container Cartage
- Container Devanning
- 3PL & Warehousing
- CFS (Container Freight Station)

Our new Tauriko hub will provide greater capacity, improved connectivity and a broader range of freight solutions for businesses across Tauranga, the Bay of Plenty and beyond.

It’s another important step in strengthening our national network while continuing to deliver the local service and support our customers value.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in bringing this project to life. There’s still plenty to do, but the vision is becoming reality!

Bascik Transport Invests in Hog Haulage Ltd

We are pleased to officially announce that Bascik Transport has acquired a shareholding in Hog Haulage Ltd, strengthening the relationship between two established New Zealand transport businesses. This investment represents an exciting step forward for both companies and provides an opportunity to build on the strong working relationship already established between Hog Haulage and Bascik Transport.

The partnership will allow both businesses to leverage their combined experience, resources and industry knowledge, while continuing to provide reliable and efficient transport solutions to our customers. Hog Haulage Ltd will continue to operate under its existing name and management, with the focus remaining firmly on our customers, our drivers and delivering a high standard of service.

As part of this next chapter, Hog Haulage is committed to maintaining and growing both its flatdeck and curtain side fleet, ensuring we continue to have the capacity and capability to meet the needs of our customers. We see significant opportunities for growth across both areas of our business and are committed to investing in our fleet, our people and our future.

We see this as a positive move for the future of Hog Haulage and look forward to the opportunities this partnership will create. Our commitment is to continue growing the business, expanding our capabilities and building on the strong foundations we have established.

As another exciting Christchurch Metro Rugby season comes to a close, we'd like to congratulate all of this year's winning teams on a fantastic achievement.
A huge thank you also goes to every player, coach, volunteer, referee, supporter, and club who make grassroots rugby in Canterbury what it is.

Big news for our Napier depot - we’re officially ATF (Approved Transitional Facility) certified!
Even better, Napier joins our Christchurch, Auckland, Wellington and Dunedin depots, which are also ATF certified.
An ATF is a site approved by a national agricultural authority to receive and inspect imported shipping containers, ensuring biosecurity standards are met.
This is a huge step forward for our team and reflects the hard work, high standards, and commitment we bring every day.
