It's here! 🎉

Metro's new Route 110 is now connecting Aranui, New Brighton, and The Palms.

This new 12-month trial service has been shaped by community feedback and local advocacy, helping improve public transport options for Aranui residents.

Thank you to everyone whose mahi helped make this happen.

We can't wait to welcome you on board. 💚

Tomorrow we celebrate the reappearance of Puaka-Matariki in the winter sky - the stars that signal the beginning of the Māori New Year in Te Waipounamu. ✨

Matariki is a time to reflect on the year that has been, remember those who have passed, acknowledge the blessings we have, reconnect with our environment, and reset for the year ahead. 🍃

This weekend, take time to look up and connect with the stars that tell the story of navigation to Aotearoa. While travelling through the Bus Interchange, keep an eye out for the artworks and carvings woven through the walls, ceilings, and floors that also share this story. 🌬️

Looking for ways to celebrate Matariki during the school holidays? Let Metro take you there. Use our Journey Planner to plan your trip and enjoy festivities across Christchurch. Our network will operate to a Saturday timetable on Friday 10 July. Our Metroinfo counter and contact centre will operate from 9am to 5pm. 🚌

We’re proposing changes to Routes 44 and 135 in your area as part of the public transport network review.
See what's changing below:
📍Route 44
➡️Extended to Prestons via Marshlands Rd
➡️Increased frequency to 30 mins + run later at night on Saturdays and Sundays
➡️Remove the loop on Ravensdale Rise and create dedicated layover for buses
➡️Replace Dallington end with either Route 100 or Orbiter

📍Route 135
➡️Removed due to low use
➡️Resources shifted to improve 44 and other services
➡️Alternative connections remain via nearby routes and transfer

Tell us how these changes would affect you and what matters most. Share your feedback by 24 June. https://bit.ly/4vcDyWY
