We’re proud to share that Phillip from has been awarded a 2026 KickStart Scholarship from MITO New Zealand and the Inspiring Futures Foundation (IFF).

This is a fantastic achievement, and we’re excited to see Phillip continue working toward his New Zealand Certificate in Heavy Automotive Engineering, Road Transport (Levels 3 and 4).
At PARKS, we believe in backing good people and investing in the future of our industry, so it’s great to see Phillip recognised in this way.

𝐀 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬. 🚛⛰️

This recovery took place near Ōhau Point, Kaikōura, after a truck struck a rockslide and ended up in an incredibly dangerous position on the edge of a steep bank.

Recoveries like this are a reminder that heavy towing has never been just about big gear. It takes experience, planning, and the ability to stay calm when the job is anything but simple.

For Parks, tough recoveries have been part of the story for a long time.

A wrecked vehicle turned into home for a HUGE swarm (about 10,000 bees) and the team did the right thing straight away: called in Jeff from the Christchurch Bee Club to safely rescue and rehome them.

Watch the “golden parade” as they follow the queen into the box…👑✨
