About a month ago, I found myself on the way to our fifth reading retreat. The views were simply breathtaking: winding roads, turquoise water, rolling hills - NZ at its best. Arriving at the venue, I instantly felt the world slow down. The fire was already burning & there was nothing but birdsong outside.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
And then the weekend itself: five women, tucked into every corner of the house with a book, emerging only for meals and to check up on each other's reading progress 🥰⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I've been thinking about it ever since so…we're going back for more, in August 2027.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
The full details for this retreat are now up on the website - bookings open on Oct 7 at 9am for the book club members, 24h later for the rest of the waitlist. ⁣⁣

Busy with Books 📚 Reading retreats, book club & events’ first international media feature and one that is very special for me personally 🥹

Even though I grew up in Italy, my mother tongue is German (it’s a thing - I’ll tell you about it another time). So being featured in DER SPIEGEL feels incredibly special - not just because it’s BWB’ first press coverage outside of AU + NZ but because my family & friends at home can read about my work in our mother tongue 🥰

I was interviewed for this article earlier in the year & wasn’t sure if it would ever be released, so I’m very excited it’s out now!

One of the things I hear most from BWB members is that they wish they knew other book lovers in their city: people to grab coffee with, drag to a bookshop, watch that new book adaptation, or simply read together in the park. ⁣
⁣
And honestly, that’s the whole reason I started hosting retreats & events in the first place. Unfortunately, I can’t be everywhere at once so…⁣
