The boys gave me a day off and that turned out to be an expensive mistake again 😂

After our favourite old girl getting sold the other day, I reckoned there was a bit of a gap sitting in the yard… so naturally the only sensible option was to head back to the same auction and buy another truck 🚛💸

Just picked this one up and heading home now. After the truck, trailer last time, I think the auctioneers are starting to recognise me a bit too well 😅

Big thanks to the crew for holding the fort while I disappeared “just for a look”. Appreciate the hard work from everyone keeping the jobs moving while I keep making questionable financial decisions 😂

Another unit for the fleet — now time to get her dirty and put her to work 💪

Bit of a rough day today watching the first tipper I ever bought head off to its new owner.
Best truck I’ve ever owned. She’s done the rounds with half the contractors in town — bit like the village bike really 🫣😂

But honestly, that truck’s the reason I’m where I am today. Never let me down, always turned up ready to work, and got me through some big years.

Sad to see her go, but pretty cool knowing she’ll keep earning her keep for the next bloke too.
Once a good truck, always a good truck ❤️

We figured instead of hiring too many workers, we’d just buy a truck that can cart more with the trailer on 😂

But then again, in saying that, we’re still on the hunt for another truck driver too… because someone’s actually gotta drive these trucks 😅

So it’s a nice wee flight to Tauranga on Friday to pick up this red weapon with the dog trailer behind it.

Apparently “saving money” now means buying more axles 😅

To top it off, it even came with a chip spreader — one minute you’re buying a truck, next minute you’re accidentally bidding on a trailer too 🤝
