Mainland Air, based at Dunedin International Airport in the lower South Island of New Zealand, was established in 1991. We specialise in Scenic Flights across the world renown Southern tourist basin, Private and Business charter services anywhere in New Zealand, geological and ecological aerial survey work, coffin transfers and general Air Freight. Mainland Aviation College, a division of Mainland

Air operates the regions largest Flight Training Organisation. Dunedin's only fully NZQA approved Private Training Establishment able to provide Diploma in Aviation courses. Principally based at Dunedin Airport (Controlled) but with access to nearby regional airfields (uncontrolled). Different Seasonal weather to contend with! Mountain Flying in our back yard! Mainland can offer a well rounded training program and is well known for turning out pilots of high caliber. Fleet: 6 Cessna 152, , 2 C172, 1 Twin Tecnam P2006T, 1 Piper Seneca & 2 Piper Chieftains. Our Charter Pilots & Instructors now, were once our Student Pilot’s. Management have seen them progress and have been fostered into a safe working team ethic. To round off the CPL flight test week, we also have Yug! I can’t emphasise enough how this isn’t possible without first the infrastructure/team then equally so the student who wishes to achieve. There’s no big science behind it. It’s very simple. Cheers to all of our five CPL achievers this week!
