We"re back baby! After nearly 3 weeks off the water, 2 of which I spent bedridden with the flu! It was so good to get out there again! The water clarity was amazing, as was the fishing! Decided to try chicken breast as bait today, after being told so many times it works, and it did! Which was such a relief, our last few trips prior had been like pulling teeth! We put 8 species in the bin. My only gripe about today was the opposing swells which caused us to sit beam all day. We were knocked about silly.

Lucked in spotting these two gorgeous kereru feeding on the blossoms of our plum tree. A little beauty on what is now day 14 in bed with the flu. This latest flu is no joke!
Can't wait to get out fishing again! So over being sick!!!

Stumbled across this page Gisborne NZ Guide yesterday while quietly stalking our business on google 🤦‍♀️😁. From what I can tell this is a very new entity, an Independently run Guide to Gisborne. There isn't a lot on their page, yet, but what is there is great. The website is even better, www.gisbornenz.co.nz.
