"Never too early, never too late. Driving Miss Daisy Drivers are all Dementia Friends, providing a valuable service for people living with dementia by offering not just transportation, but also companionship, support, and a personalised approach to help them maintain their independence and quality of life. World Alzheimer's Month/Day is about raising awareness about the importance of early diagnosis and the need for continued support throughout the progression of Alzheimer's and other dementias. Let's break the stigma and support those living with Alzheimer's and other Dementias."

After a fantastic Driving Miss Daisy Conference, it was time to get out and about in Christchurch! The murals are wonderful and there is still a lot of renovation happening around the city. And a tram ride...such a great way to see everything....and back to Tairawhiti

📍 Christchurch, here we come! 💛✈️
We’re getting ready to join Driving Miss Daisy franchisees from across New Zealand for our annual conference!
We’re proud to be representing Driving Miss Daisy Tairawhiti and the wonderful community we serve. 💛
Our annual conference is a great opportunity to come together, share ideas, learn from one another and discover new ways to make the Driving Miss Daisy experience even better for our clients, their families and our communities.
Because being a Daisy is about so much more than getting from A to B. It’s about providing friendly, reliable support and helping people stay independent, connected and confident. 🌼
Before we pack our bags, we’d love to hear from you!
What do you value most about Driving Miss Daisy?
🌼 A familiar, friendly face?
🚗 Knowing you’ll arrive safely and on time?
💛 The reassurance and peace of mind we provide to your family?
💬 Or simply having a friendly chat along the way?
Tell us in the comments below! We’d love to take your feedback with us to Christchurch and share what matters most to the people we’re here to support.
Christchurch, we’re coming your way! ✈️🌼💛

Men’s Health Week NZ is something our team feels strongly about. 💙
We work with many wonderful male clients every week, and we know that for a lot of men, staying socially connected, asking for support, or prioritising their health doesn’t always come naturally.
That’s why we love creating opportunities for men to get out, stay active, and spend time doing things they enjoy whether that’s a coffee outing, group activity, lunch with mates, appointments, or simply getting out of the house for a change of scenery.
Some of our favourite moments come from seeing friendships form, conversations flow, and confidence return through these outings.
This year’s theme, “What’s Your Score?”, is a great reminder to check in on all areas of health, physical, mental, and social wellbeing included.
A small step can make a big difference:
💙 Book the check-up
💙 Reach out to a mate
💙 Join the outing
💙 Get moving
💙 Talk about how you’re doing
No one should feel like they have to do it alone.

Today one of our lovely clients surprised our Daisy drivers with a small token of appreciation — and it meant the world.
Our drivers show up every day with love, patience, and genuine care, keeping each journey safe and full of kindness. Moments like this remind us how special our Driving Miss Daisy community truly is.
To our drivers: thank you for leading with heart. To our client: thank you for seeing them.
